Todoroki's P.O.V
Beep
Beep
Beep...
The sound of a heart monitor echoed through my ears, the soft hum of the A.C mixing with the sound. I slowly opened my eyes to see a plain, white ceiling....wait....WHITE?! "Midoriya!" I yelped, shooting up from my bed, I looked to my right to see machines and when I looked down to my arm, a couple of cords were attached to it. 'I must be in the hospital.'
"No need to shout, the brat is fine."
I turned to my left, a tall figure stood next to the hospital window, he had black hair, and familiar stitches, Dabi. "What are you doing here?" I asked glaring at him.
"What does it look like? I'm visiting you." He replied, crossing his arms over his chest.
"How did you get in here? Are you and the League of villains planning something again?!"
"Geez, ya' know, it's not very nice to assume something about a person's doing without even really knowing them." He sighed, "My comrade took me here."
I stopped glaring at him, but that didn't mean that I still wasn't suspicious, "Why did you do it?"
"Do what?"
"Let me go. You could've just left me in that chair like all the other villains did, but you didn't. You let me go, and I wanna know why." I pursed my lips together, trying to think why a villain would do such a thing.
"Would you like my blood type while your at it? Man, you heroes ask so many questions and actually expect answers! You guys might as well treat us to dinner to get to know us." Dabi turned his head towards the window, the wind played with his messy, black hair. "You weren't needed. My comrades just left you there for no reason, so it seemed useless to keep you there. Plus, if we kept you there any longer, those annoying heroes would eventually find you somehow."
"Still, your a villain. It doesn't add up." I spat. He didn't reply, he just stared out the window. "I have a feeling that your not telling me the full reason why, but I won't pester about it. Thank you, if it wasn't for yo—"
"Don't." He turned his gaze towards me again, his turquoise eyes locked with mine, something about his gaze made me anxious, like I was missing something about him. "Don't thank me. Just because I let you go once, doesn't mean I won't stop killing, that I won't stop hating heroes, and most importantly believe in good. I still wanna ruin this disgusting world. And I still wanna make it to seem like the word 'hero' is just an excuse to be weak. So, don't act like things will change, because eventually, I'll kill you too. Saving you was only for my benefit."
I didn't answer, no, I couldn't answer. I didn't know what to tell him, he was right, just because he saved me, doesn't make a difference. He's a villain, I'm a hero, nothing will change that. I can't forget that he's a killer and a criminal, he ruined many lives, and just because that 'life' isn't mine, doesn't give me the right to forgive him. How selfish would that be?
I stared at my midsection, the wound from the staff was tightly wrapped in bandages, though I wouldn't take back my gratitude. If he hadn't set me free any sooner, Midoriya and Hagakure would've been hurt.....or worse. "Ack!" I winced when I felt something hot flick my face, I placed my hand on my left cheek, looking up at Dabi.
"Chin up Shouto, it's only the beginning." He stated with a smirk. A hard wind blew, making the window curtains fly up, making them cover Dabi, but when the curtains came down, he was gone. My hand was still on my left cheek, my brother Toya used to flick me with his flames to tease me a bit when I was sad. He couldn't really come close to me because of my old man, so he'd use his quirk to get my attention. 'Could he possibly be.....no, no he couldn't be. Toya would never become a villain. Right?"
Almost on cue, the door flew open, revealing my sister. "Fuyumi..." I muttered, before she wrapped her arms around me.
"Oh thank god your ok! I was so worried! First you were taken by the league of villains, and then I find out your in the hospital with a devastating injury in your midsection, and it didn't help that you were unconscious for two days!!" She cried.
'Two days? I had no idea.' She pulled out of the hug and placed her hands on my shoulders, her eyes widened, "Shouto! Why do you have a small burn on your cheek!?" She asked, tracing her thumb over it.
"It's nothing, just something I got when I was captured." I answered, but I knew it wasn't, I'm almost one hundred percent sure that it's from Dabi.
"Geez Shouto, if you continue to hurt yourself to this extreme, I don't think my heart can handle it."Fuyumi stated, tears rolled down her cheeks but she was still trying to smile.
"I'm sorry, but I'm willing to do what ever it takes to protect the people I care about. Even if that means sacrificing myself." I replied.
She wiped her tears with the back of her hand, "I suppose that's what makes you a good hero." She cleared her throat, "Anyways, I met your boyfriend."
My eyes practically came out of my sockets, "Who told you?"
Fuyumi chuckled, "Your reaction almost makes me feel like you weren't going to tell me at all!"
I shook my head, "N-No Fuyumi I swear that's not it I was jus—"
"Relax, I'm just teasing! Though it would've been nice to hear the news from you, but I'll try to not to be too salty about it."
I sighed in relief, 'At least she supports me.'
"So, who told you?" I presumed.
Fuyumi pointed her index finger at the door, "Midoriya! And my goodness, he's ADORABLE! You have a nice taste in men my dearest brother!" Fuyumi exclaimed, while ruffling my bi-colored hair.
"How come he's not in here?" I asked, tilting my head to the left a bit.
"Oh, I asked him to wait out for a bit, I wanted to talk with you alone." Fuyumi sat up from the bed, "I'll go and get him though, I'll see yo—" Fuyumi stopped talking when I grabbed her hand, "Shouto?"
"I'm sorry, sis." I said with a frown. "I'm sorry for putting you through all this pain, it's never my intentions. Our family has always been broken and sickening, and because of this, I would do anything to get away from it all. I guess when I moved into the dorms I found no reason to return home, because being with my friends makes me......happy." I looked up at her grey eyes, " I don't want to leave you like Toya did, and I know deep down inside, you were afraid of me doing so."
Fuyumi sat back down on the bed side, "Oh Shouto, it's true that I was afraid of you leaving me, but I don't want you to feel like your hurting me by staying with the people that make you happy." She placed both of her hands on top of mine, "And Toya left because he felt like he had to, not because he wanted to."
"You never really did tell me why he ran away..." I mumble.
She sighed, "It wasn't really my favorite thing to talk about, but you deserve to know. After all, he is your brother."

Fuyumi' s P.O.V

"Toya?" I let out a long yawn, "....where are you going? It's super early." I looked down to my side to see Natsuo clinging onto my waist, looking half asleep.
Toya sets his backpack down and turns to Natsuo and I, "Fuyumi! Natsuo! Good your awake! I was going to wake you up after I was done packing."
My eyebrows stitch together, "What do you mean?"
Toya smiled and walked closer towards us, "Were leaving. You, Natsuo, and I!"
I shake my head, "W-What Why? A-And what about Shouto?"
Toya's smile disappeared, his eyes fell to the floor, "We can't take him."
My eyes widened, "We can't leave him! Toya you've see the things father does to him!"
He looks up at me, his lips quivering, "I-I know, but at least he somewhat values Shouto! As for us, well....were just mistakes."
I suck in my lips, not knowing what to say. "Fuyumi think about it, we lost mom, the only person that made us feel important! She is in the mental hospital because the amount of insanity from this family finally got to her!" Tears were starting to fall from his turquoise eyes, "A-A-And how long do you think we'll last before we go insane?! Huh!?"
I felt Natsuo's grip tighten around me when Toya's voice grew higher. Toya is usually chill and collected, so seeing him in this state.....well....is really unsettling. "Toya, calm down, your scaring Natsuo..." I reached my hand out and grabbed his, ".....and me. C'mon Toya, we'll get through this. Together, as a family, like mom said."
He snatched his hand away, "Mom. Is. Gone. There is no family to stay together with. So I'll ask you one more time..." There were no more tears falling from his eyes, and his voice held anger. "Will you run away with me? Escape this hell?"
I shook my head, "I'm not going. I will not leave Shouto."
Toya looked down at Natsuo, "Natsuo how about you?"
Natsuo shook his head no, "This is our home..."
Toya clicked his tongue, "You both are naive." He turned around and threw his backpack over his shoulder, "Fine. If you want to stay here and watch Shouto grow up like to be like dad, then so be it." Toya walked towards us, but it was only to get to the door. "Oh and Natsuo, this is not our home. Never was, never will be." And with those last words, he walked out the house.
'Toya...'
"Fuyumi." A small young, but tired voice called to me. I turned back around to see Shouto walk towards me, "Why was brother Toya yelling?"
I bit my lips, in hopes not to cry, " H-H-He's not....coming back."

~~~~Present~~~~
~~~Shouto's P.O.V~~~

"I failed him Shouto" Fuyumi muttered, "I failed our family, and I miss him terribly. There isn't a single moment where I don't worry about his well-being. Like is he healthy? Eating properly? Eating at all?! Is...is he even alive? He was just a child after all when he left."
"What he did wasn't your fault Fuyumi. If we were to blame anyone, it would be father." I say, squeezing her hand in reassurance. "Plus, if anything sis, you've managed to keep our family somewhat together. It's not like we don't keep in contact."
That seemed to make her feel better, because another one of her simple, loving smiles spreads on her face. "I guess your right." She then pulls me into a tight hug, "God Shouto, all my life I've prayed and prayed for you to find happiness and to feel loved, and now that I hear that you are happy with your friends, and that you have a very loving and supportive boyfriend." I felt tears soak up my shoulder, "My prayers have finally been answered! I-I'm finally, truly happy little brother!"
'I've always took advantage of Fuyumi's presents, I always pushed her away, and sometimes I would just want nothing to do with her because she was always so worried about me. But now I get it, she just wanted what was best for me. She could've left, just like Toya. She could've turned on me, just like Mom, but she didn't. She's still here for me, with open arms, her and Natsuo! I was swallowed by so much anger and hate that I never took notice in their affection and love for me, and now, well now I feel pathetic.'
"I'm sorry sis.." Unknowing tears started coming down my cheeks, "I'm sorry I was so mean and cruel to you and Natsuo, I'm sorry for pushing you guys away! I'm sorry for thinking that you guys didn't love me. I'm sorry, I'm sorry for all of it!" I continued to cry as she ran her fingers through my hair, occasionally whispering comforting words. "It's alright Shouto...."
I looked up at her, her calm, grey eyes locked with my hetero ones, "Everything is ok." I felt my heart stop, those words, her gaze, everything reminded me of how mother used to talk to me when I was in fits of tears. And for the first time in my life, I felt not only safe, but lucky. I'm lucky to have such amazing siblings that care and support me. And friends that will hear me out when I'm upset or sad. I'm truly lucky to have Izuku Midoriya as my boyfriend, someone whom has stood by me and reached out to me when no one else would. All these people in my life, makes life truly worth living.
Fuyumi stands up from the bed, "I should get Midoriya in here now, I'm sure he's dying to talk to you, he was muttering all sorts of things!"
"Y-Yeah, I want to speak to him too." I say.
Fuyumi walked to the door, but before she walks out, I tell her something that I've never admitted, "Love you sis."
She looks surprised, but then smile, "I love ya' too bro!" And with that, she shuts the door.
