He didn't read my mail.

He didn't get to know how sorry and miserable I was without him.

He didn't get to know that I had missed him each and everyday.

He didn't get to know that I have loved him more than anything in my life.

I never will now get to say ' A GOODBYE'.

Fews hours back.

I reached Bangalore today morning.

After the phone call I stood frozen on one place blank with a feeling of euphoria.

Repeating the same words he can't leave me all alone.

How I reached India....Bangalore.....or stood in front of mortuary....I didn't know.

Arnav was behind me while I stared at the door.

I was sure it was some mistake it wasn't my brother in there.

I know he can't be lying in there lifeless.

I stared at the door until I pushed it in and entered.

Mukti stood there staring at a body while the police started asking Arnav who was he and me. The constable complained  about Mukti and asked Arnav to take her away as she stood there like this from yesterday and she has refused to move from here from past 20 hours.

If forced or asked she would screamed and yelled and wail.

She being alone and no other relative around.

They let her be here like this.

As they got to know the death body's sister was coming from aboard.

'Body' that word alone send jitters in me.

Mukti has misunderstood.

This is not my brother.

Nan: Arnav, he can't be my brother
I shook him getting his attention while I moved towards Mukti and pulled her hand to get her out from the room.

Nan: Abhi bhai will be at home Mukti. We have to go home or else you know he gets so worked up. Let leave.
I pulled her while she stood there on her ground staring at my face.

Nan: Mukti...
I called out again.

She looked away and stared at the body.

Mukti: Ca..r acc....id..ent, in..stant dea..th, he le..ft me for...ever...
She whispered covering the man face as she lied her head on him and her hair spread shattered around.

Arnav: Nandini.
He came near me while I moved away.

I pulled Mukti away while I saw the man face now.

My brother happy smiling lively face had turn white and lifeless now.

His eyes were close and they will never open again.

Those chocolate brown orbs with mischief, love and care were never going  to be seen.

He had bandages all over his body.

He was quite, cold, rigid just like a stone.

I stared at him

At his face

Waiting to see his chocolate shining orbs.

Waiting for him to show astonishment, love and care for me

Waiting for him to embrace me in an hug.

Waiting for him to kiss me on my forehead.

Waiting for him to keep his loving hand on my head.
