That lovely afternoon, we were sitting on your bed by the window, the sunlight filtering in through the filmy white curtains. You were in your pajamas, your hair lay tousled in what appeared to be a bun on top of your head. You were looking down, some of the loose ringlets tumbling on your face. I simply sat there, watching you pick on the threads of the worn out blanket.

Suddenly, your head jerked up and you leaned towards me. I was frozen when I felt your plump lips pressing to mine, soft and warm. I was not a freak anymore, but a normal guy kissing a pretty girl on a lovely afternoon.

But when we pulled apart slowly and I breathed, 'I love you,' you never said it back.
