Exceptionally Different

Chapter 7

The portal forms and Laurens hurries to the formation.

Through the other side of the portal, I can see a S.W.A.T truck. It stops and a bunch of men spills out from it

Lauren uses her powers to try to pull the portal together but I notice that it's not getting any smaller.

Lauren grunts and grunts and yells "I can't hold it!"

Lauren's air molecules disappear but not before causing a great force to push her into a nearby wall. 

Andy yells "Lauen!"

The little progress made towards the portal is gone as if it was touched at all. 

Sonya goes to help Lauren but looks up and says "Look out!"

I look in the direction she is looking and see one of the men has gone through the portal. He has a rifle pointed out and in the direction of John. He yells "On the ground. NOW"

My feel my eyes about to slightly light up but John pulls the gun the man was holding and pointing it towards the ground as the man attempted to pull the trigger. 

After that, John pulls that hand back causing the man to crash into a few bars behind him. John then knees him in the stomach then throws him up into the ceiling of the first floor. When he lands John tosses him back into the portal. He lands on the ground in front of the other man

Then men on the other side look at the man on the floor then raise their guns.

Before my eyes have a chance to light up again Andy runs in front of the portal and moves his hand in a motion that causes the men on the other side of the portal to fall. But for us as well.

My head hits the floor again. Ouch.

I sit up and see the table and Clarice have toppled over. 

I get up quickly ignoring the dizziness and pain running towards Clarice.

John is right next to me calling out to Clarice "Hey, hey"

I lift her head slightly to lay on my lap and notice her hands are still illuminating with her purplish light.

Not good.

John continues to say "Clarice wake up shaking her" but she only moans in pain

I notice the room seems to have purplish lighting and look up to see multiple portals open. Almost like gaps in the dimensions and space all over.

Lauren yells "What's going on!"

John yells "GET OUT! MOVE!"

He looks towards Sonya and says "Get everyone out now.  Get out of here now! Got get out!"

Andy pulls Lauren saying "Lauren! Come on! Come on!" Lauren finally gives in and follows Andy out with Sonya and the rest of the people moving quickly to get away from the chaos.
