Fourteen: Hart On The Line

I have no idea what to do. Every outcome to this situation hurts someone and in every version, I'm one of the ones getting hurt.

Right now I'm regretting keeping everyone at arm's length for the last eight years because damn, I really need someone to talk to right about now.

I mean, I could talk to Helena, but that would require way too much explaining.
There's always Roxy, but she's not going to give me an opinion.

I know, The one person I can always rely on, mum.

I peel out of the parking space and tear down the road towards the airport. I may be twenty-six, but even sometimes a man needs his mum.

Just as I'm about to walk onto my private jet, I pull out my phone and dial a number I'd looked up earlier. The drug squad tip-off line.

"Hello, I'd like t report a known whereabouts of Lars headquarters," I speak into the phone as I climb the steps.

"You know it's a federal offence to give false or misleading information," the man on the other end of the phone asks sceptically.

"I can assure you, this is no prank. My name is Alexander Hart. I'm a Private Investigator and I was hired to do just that. The information I'm about to give you is everything I've uncovered."

"Very well then," the operator speaks with determination.

I repeat everything that I had found out to the operator on the phone and give them the address before hanging up and bucking my seatbelt up.

I can't wait to see his name plastered all over the news and know that the piece of shit is rotting in jail.

Now I know I need to work quickly and get to Summer before she sees the news. She doesn't know anything about him, but I'm certain that she'll recognise his name from the list.

I suspect I have about twelve hours before the story goes viral.
