The warm summer months brought comfort and excitement for the city-goers of Seoul. Children swarmed the parks, finding relief in the cool water sprinklers. Adults bustled around, most returning home, others taking their families to get away from the heat. In the apartments, tenants worked to find their own ways of beating the heat.

Apartment 5B, a spacious two-room apartment on the fifth floor basked in the light of the setting sun, covering the rooms in a wave of gold. Bathed in the sunlight, a tenant slept, a thin sheet covering him from the shoulders down, the AC humming in the background. Tousled blond hair stuck to its owner's skin as he shifted, trying to find a more comfortable position before going still again.

For a moment, the room is timeless and unbothered by the outside world.

Then the front door beeped as it's unlocked, and the apartment returned to reality. The apartment settled with something more familiar as the other inhabitant returned from work. The older of the two tenants sighed in relief from the cooler temperatures, swiping his black hair out of his face, grimacing when his hair stuck to his forehead.

Coming up to the first bedroom, the elder knocked before entering, scanning the room for any signs of life before frowning at the sleeping figure under the covers.

"Jimin-ah, you'll be late for work if you don't get up soon."

The elder waited a beat, then two, shaking his head when the younger failed to move. With that, he walked out, returning with a pillow from his own bed in hand. Pulling back, he hurled the pillow right for the sleeping boy's face, with more satisfying results.

Jimin sputtered as he's viciously ripped from his dreams, wildly flailing about as if trying to latch onto something to hold on to the closer he came to grips with reality. With shuddering breaths, he finally looked at Yoongi, who smirked back at him, completely unashamed by his actions.

"You know what? You're really a jerk Min Yoongi." He pouted, glaring at the elder, rolling over in an attempt to go back to sleep.

Yoongi chuckled as he grabbed his pillow back "I might be a jerk, but I'm your jerk." He said while leaning into Jimin's space, much to his flush-cheeked dismay. "Before you short circuit, it's 17:30, so it might be for the best you stop trying to come for the roommate helping you keep your job? Just a concept you might want to look into."

That was enough to get Jimin to sit back up, checking his phone and cursing under his breath, confirming that yes, it really was 17:30 and that he would be late if he didn't leave the house in the next twenty minutes. Throwing himself out of bed, Jimin made sure to stumble into Yoongi on his way to the bathroom, smirking to himself when he heard the elder swearing in turn.

A quick shower ("It's too hot for steam in the shower Jimin!", "If I want to burn off the first layer of my skin and get a stroke in the process, then that's my business!"), an exchange or ironed clothes from Yoongi ("Thanks babe~", "Just shut up and get ready.", "Aw look, you're blushing!", "I said get ready brat!"), a grueling search for his T-Money card that just so happened to stare at him from the coffee table ("You said you checked the table!", "I did!", "Not hard enough it seems.", "Yoongi-hyung? Shove it."), and a seemingly halfhearted peck on the cheek from Yoongi sent Jimin bolting out of the house, just in time to catch the 18:06 train.
