Aubree. A Few Days Later
I sat in bed eating the dinner Chris cooked, which amazing as hell. He made chicken Parmesan and it tastes like it came straight from a restaurant. Bae can cook crack and gourmet meals, so multitalented.
After he got done eating he disappeared for awhile. I hate that I had to do this but I watched him through our camera system on my phone. He wrote on some paper and ripped it up then placed it on a bowl once he made his way upstairs, I locked my phone and put it behind me.
"Alright." He said walking into the room. "In this bowl it's a bunch of places that we can go for our honeymoon. I'll pick one then you pick one."
"Ooo sounds fun." I said while sticking my hand in the bowl. "Where did you get all of these ideas?"
"Googled the best honeymoon locations last night. It's so many places that I've never heard of."
"Cool." I pulled out a piece of paper. "Should I say or wait for you to pick yours?"
"Wait for me." He dug his hand in next and pulled a paper out. "Alright, what you got?"
"Croatia....hm, that's a good one. What does yours say?"
"Zanzibar. I don't even know where that is."
"Sounds African and where we might be. I've never heard anyone go there. Let's look it up." I pulled out my phone and typed it in. "It's in east Africa. Look at this resort Chris, Zuri Zanzibar." I passed him my phone.
"Damn this looks relaxing. You sure this where you wanna go? It's 21 hour flight and it's a bunch of good ideas in this bowl. Other places in Africa too."
"No that's the place. That's where I wanna go. And we just took a 14 hour flight after my birthday. 21 is lengthy but it'll be worth it."
"Okay cool, I'll get it all set up in the morning."
I nodded then focused on my food again.
"Can you believe we're getting married next week?" He asked.
"No I can't. It all happened so fast."
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
"A good thing Chris."
"I'm just saying. Most people are together for awhile before that get married it's been two years for us and I don't want you to feel like we're rushing anything."
"I don't feel that way. If I did I wouldn't have agreed to marry you."
"Can I be honest with you?"
"About what?"
"Us."
"I'm listening."
"After what happened I'm kind of nervous about us getting married."
