Beautiful. That was the only thing I could think of as I watched Y/N lost in their own little world while fiddling with grass. They didn't know what was going on nor did they seam to care. They looked so beautiful all the time, but this time they looked so serene and beautiful. Mark and Johnny who were with Y/N and I noticed Y/N was about to say something to get them out of their trance but I quickly put my finger against my lips to stop them from disturbing this love of mine. Johnny chuckled at me and distracted Mark with something else making him giggle and forget about Y/N. I couldn't help but smile and continue to watch Y/N.

"Sleeping softly while I sing, and I'll be your memory."
'Could someone look as peaceful as this angel on my shoulder?' I silently asked myself as I noticed Y/N asleep on my shoulder. We had been traveling since 4am and were all exhausted. I couldn't help but smile at Y/N's exhausted state and placed my head on top of theirs and closed my eyes as well. Right as I was about to fall asleep, I heard a quiet voice whisper to me, "could you sing for me?" My heart raced a bit before I silently agreed and began to sing softly for them to help them sleep a bit better.

"'Cause I'm outdated, overrated, morning seams so far away."
I couldn't help but let an awkward chuckle escape as I slowly closed my bedroom door leaving Y/N alone inside there. "Goodnight," we both softly stated through the door before I turned away from the door with a pillow and a blanket. I made my way to the living room and sighed as I placed the pillow and blanket on the couch. You see, Y/N, needed a place to stay for the night and I offered. I let them have my room while I took the couch for the night. They told me we could share my bed for the night but I declined. Why? Probably because I'm a gentleman or plausibly an outdated asshole who didn't want them to get the wrong idea. I wanted them to be safe. While it would be perfect to have them in my arms like I always dreamt it would be, I didn't want to force or ruin the relationship we already had. I crawled into my makeshift bed on the couch and sighed once again before rubbing my eyes. I only needed to last the night. I'd be able to see them in the morning.
