They nodded, preparing to leave out the door until their mother added. " Oh and bring Janet with you." She told them, earning groans from Tito, Jackie, and Randy as she strutted her way down the stairs.

Outside the gated house, three cars awaited them. Joseph had hired drivers for they were still living off their past success.

" Look, I don't care what y'all young ones do because we're doing our own thing." Jackie smirked as he gave Tito some dab. " You know, we got grown folks business to take care of."

Janet then mugged them from head to toe.
" Okay and? You act we care about y'all secret quests to catch an STD."

Randy and Marlon laughed promptly at her remark as Michael managed to hold his in. Janet was the exact opposite of her twin brother. Michael may have had his subliminal rude remarks, but Janet was bold in more ways than one.

They didn't decide on where to go, Michael, Janet, and Randy sat in the back while Marlon called shotgun. They just talked and joked around as their driver, Bill, drove them around downtown.

" See any places that catch your eye?" He asked out in the open. The downtown area had a large strip with various types of stores and food places. Downtown was the only place that you'd see a large variety of both Valley and Pine people mixed together.

" Well, I could use a good mani-pedi–"

" No! " Her brothers voiced in unison and she rolled her eyes, narrowing them at Michael especially.

"Um – You supposed to be on my side, we knew each other before them."

Michael laughed, he found it funny that he already knew what she'd say before she said it. Janet was saying that same line since they were little.

" Dunk it takes you an hour just to pick out what color you want on your hands and feet." Michael stated earning humorous agreements from Randy, Marlon, and even Bill.

" You know what bump this, drop me off then. Right there at Missy's parlor...pick me up in about an hour." She scoffed before she was soon shooing Michael out the car so she could leave.

The brothers shook their heads as they watched their sister disappear behind the nailshop's translucent doors.

Bill looked into the rearview while Michael entered the car again. " What about you Michael?"

He bit his lip in thought before he glared out the window." Actually I do have somewhere in mind."

...

Today was a fairly slow day at Barbra's. Most of the workers were off working another shift at their second job, on their lunch break, or some simply didn't work Mondays.

Alyssa was one of the few that worked there full time. She had a total of three clients so far. Two appointments and one walk in, which was better than nothing so she didn't complain. All businesses had their slow days, that's just the way things were.

She finished her walk in a while ago and now she sat alone in her styling chair, popping her gum and skimming through an Ebony magazine as she hummed along to Evelyn King's Shame.
