As they walked Matt couldn't help but sigh "Honestly...I'm kind of lucky, the only thing I have to worry about for tomorrow is showing up for my shift at The Grill, unlike you Miss Pre-med student."

Elena shook her head in amusement before turning to face him "Thank you for everything. Really."

Matt smiled at her "Get home safe." He told her before making his way to his truck.

She was now alone in the middle of the parking lot.

Elena watched him go for a moment before she sighed at the sight of her car, hesitantly she grabbed her phone, and for probably the 100th time since she found out about what had happened at the wedding, she called Xander.

Climbing into her car as the phone rang, she leaned back in her seat before sighing as again it went to voicemail.

Where the hell was he?

"Hey, Xander...I don't know how many messages I've left now but...I'm worried about you...please just...I know what happened at the wedding and I just..." Sighing she shook her head sadly "Just let me know that you're okay."

Even if she did have feelings for him, Xander was her friend first and she needed to know that he was okay.

He had been radio silent since the wedding.

Hanging up the phone, Elena leaned against the seat for a moment before finally starting up her car.

When he was ready he would call her.

She was sure of it.

Pulling the car into reverse she quickly slammed on the brakes as the car jolted violently.

Elena's eyes widened in panic as she realized that she must have hit something or worse someone.

Climbing out of the car quickly she circled around to the back of the car only for her eyes to widen as she doesn't spot anything.

What the hell?

Flags quickly started to go off in her head.

Reaching into her bag she grabbed her gun and spun around only to spot Rebekah standing behind her.

"Drive much?"

Out of instinct, Elena panicked and fired two shots into Rebekah's gut but the bullets didn't do much and the brunette quickly ended up shoved against her car.

"Really first you drive a dagger through my back and then you shoot me."

Before Rebekah could tear Elena to shreds, she found herself pinned up against the car with another blonde holding her by the neck.

"Hi, friend." Buffy grinned playfully as she held onto Rebekah's throat refusing to let her move.

Yes, what Elena did to Rebekah sucked, but Buffy wasn't going to let her kill her sister.

Rebekah's eyes widened at the sight of Buffy, the only person that could actually kill her other than her siblings "Buffy I—"

"You know I actually like you." Buffy told her as she tightened the hold on her neck "But going after my sister...bad move."

"She stabbed me in the back."

Buffy literally couldn't argue with that "True but she is my sister. So I get that you're hurt, I do, but do we have to chat about it all day?"

Rebekah stared in astonishment before shaking her head in amusement "I've missed you."

She did enjoy Buffy's sense of amusement.

Plus it was always hilarious watching her knock Nik down a peg.

Buffy chuckled before pausing as she felt a shift in the wind.

Someone else was here.

"Come to collect your sister Elijah? Not gonna stab me again?"

Elijah merely smiled at Buffy apologetically "I apologize for the change of plans, I didn't mean you any harm."

Buffy shrugged and tossed Rebekah over to the elder Original "Nah, there was harm but no foul. Just keep your sister away from mine."

Given that they both tended to act as the eldest, Elijah and Buffy surprisingly had a common goal.

To keep their younger siblings safe.

Elijah nodded and turned to his sister who merely smirked at him.

Clenching his jaw he looked down at her teasingly "Are you challenging me?"
