WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA

It had been over a week without any news regarding the Mikaelson household. While Buffy had a few texts from Rebekah mainly just to assure her that she hadn't been re-daggered, everything had been calm in Mystic Falls.

The entire family had gone quiet and while most were panicking, Buffy and Bonnie had decided to take advantage of the rare break.

Hence their weekend get away in Williamsburg.

As they dived into their breakfast burritos, Buffy couldn't help but sputter at the piece of information Bonnie had just revealed to her.

Bonnie was her Godsister!

"So Rudy is my Godfather? How did we not know that?"

How the hell had they never known?

Bonnie shrugged "My dad and yours got into a fight and after your mom died, Dad didn't want to bring it up."

The truth was, Hank had been up to something with Grayson, and when Rudy found out he had not approved.

He had threatened to tell Joyce which was why Hank accepted the job in Los Angeles.

"Is that why he lets me crash with you guys so much?" Buffy muttered as it slowly started to make sense.

Rudy had been so good to her following the death of her mother, he literally barely said no to her.

If he was her Godfather it made a lot of sense.

Rudy felt responsible for her.

Bonnie nodded, trying to hold in a moan. This burrito was the best thing she had ever eaten! No wonder Buffy moved here before Sheriff Forbes found her.

Sandra was a culinary genius!

"Yep."

Sure enough, the genius herself approached the two young women, her eyes widening in horror as she spotted their empty plates.

"Now my dear sweet girls, we need some pancakes. Or would you prefer waffles?"

Bonnie couldn't help but smile "Thank you Mi-" Before she could finish Sandra cut her off by kissing her forehead softly "No." She ordered as she glanced between Buffy and Bonnie "Bonnie, you call me Sandra or Mama Sandra. My Annie talks about you and you are my favourite by far. Whenever my girl is sad she talks about how much she trusts you."

It was official, Bonnie loved Sandra.

"Thank you, Sandra."

Sandra grinned down at her "Anytime cutie."

With that, Sandra disappeared into the kitchen to get the girls a mixture of pancakes and waffles, not believing that one was enough.

Bonnie couldn't help but smile as she watched the elder woman start ordering her staff around. She couldn't blame Buffy for coming here when she was sad. Sandra was like the perfect surrogate mother.

"I love her."

Buffy laughed "It's impossible not to."

"How are you dealing with everything?" Elena asked Matt as the two of them walked out of the hospital after checking to see how the progress was on Alaric.

Elena could help but feel bad for Matt, he had managed to have a normal life for a year while they were in Sunnydale and now here he was again.

Being thrown into the deep end of the supernatural.

"I mean, you keep getting dragged into all of this."
