Your POV
good, you thought to yourself, now they wont find me again. you looked at your burning house in Weaslton that had burnt because of your powers. a witch had cursed you when you were lost in the woods as a child. "at last. a naive child i can bestow my powers to. here you go. you now have my power to create fires. however, you cannot extinguish them. sure, you can control them, but i will not tell you how, that is your own battle. have fun!" she cackled then disappeared with the snap of her fingers. "no!" you called reaching out to her, but it was too late. she was gone and you had sent a blast of fire at one of the largest trees in the forest. in turn that started a brush fire and you ran for your life out of the woods, and ran to your father in your house. about 12 years later on your 18th birthday, you were caught trying to control your fire by the counsel of the town and charged you with witchcraft.

"please, i did nothing wrong!" you begged.

"lies. you are a witch and you shall be burnt to ashes as you deserve." the judge sneered.

"papa?" you looked toward your father who was on the counsel, hoping he would defend you.

he looked at you with glum eyes.

"im sorry _____ but the judge is right" he said sternly looking down. your mouth was agape. then you became angry.

"FINE! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED, FATHER. IF I CAN EVEN CALL YOU THAT!" you shouted before glancing at everyone who held their pitch forks, then you sprinted out of the building and into your house gathering all your belongings. you heard the front door being kicked in, so you ran out the back door, sent a blast of fire at the house, and continued to sprint to the docks were you found an escape boat. you looked back and saw the glow of torches and heard the sound of running. you threw your things into the escape boat, jumped in, got the oars, and started rowing away like hell.

"DAMN. SHE GOT AWAY" shouted the one villager.

"no matter" mumbled the judge, "its feeding time for the sharks anyway."

you sighed and kept rowing--not knowing where you were going. you just kept rowing, rowing, rowing. you kept rowing throughout the night, not wanting to stop, in case sharks or other predators of the sea were stalking your small escape boat. your stomach growled at you, craving food. you ignored it and kept rowing. your arms felt as though they were about to fall off, but you kept rowing.

near the middle of the night, your rowing had finally paid off when you looked behind you and saw a town in the distance. you smiled and started laughing with joy. you began to speed up your rowing as fast as you could so you could make it to the shore of the new town in about an hour. and luckily, about an hour and 15 minutes later, you arrived at the shore. you smiled widely and threw your things out of the boat and onto the sand. then you stood up and threw yourself onto the sand as well. you were so happy. you smiled widely. making sand angels and then sat up looking at the horizon. you noticed the sea beginning to get extremely rough due to the oncoming storm (doctor who reference? anyone anyone? :D). you smiled at your luck then got up, grabbing your belongings.

you sighed. "now, where to go from here..i didnt think i would make it this far" you said to yourself.

your shrugged and pulled your boat onto the sand. you dug a ditch in the sand a gathered some firewood. you put the firewood into the ditch, and used your powers to light it. you smiled and laid down in the boat, pulling out a blanket from your bag of belongings and laid it over you before going to sleep.

when you woke up in the morning gathered your things and put out the fire with sand. you walked into town and looked around for a place to stay, however there were no vacancies. you sighed and traveled back down to your boat.

"wait wait!!" called a girl around the same age as you. you turned and looked at her confused.

"yes?" you asked. when the girl came up to you, she was panting from running.

"im Melanie, i heard you asking if there were any placing to take you in" she explained.

"yes, i am but i couldnt find any, sadly" you said looking down.

"nope thats not true," she smiled, "i have a stone house in the woods across the fjord, if you wanna stay, i could use a girls company, plus you need a place to stay!" she explained happily. you gave her a small smile.

"that's very kind of you, but you wouldnt want me after you found out about my powers" you explained. she looked amused.

"powers, eh?" she said crossing her arms. you nodded. "like what?" she asked.

"i can bend the element of fire." you said.

"sweet..let me see" she smiled.

"uh..i dont know.." you mumbled.

"no really!" she insisted. you nodded and blasted fire to the side of you both. she was smiling even wider now.

"wonderful! im not the only one who can bend an element now!" she cheered. you were shocked.

"wait what?" you asked.

"i can bend the element of earth! thats why i have a stone house! i built it myself!!" she gleefully spoke. you smiled.

"awesome!" you said. she calmed down and looked you in the eyes.

"so you wanna stay with me? im living with my boyfriend Ben but i need a girls company" she smiled. you nodded happily.

"yay! get your boat and you can follow my boat" she said. you nodded and dragged your boat across the sand until you both arrived at her boat.

you both got into your boats and you followed her across the fjord. to the forest. once you brought your boats on shore, she lead you to her house and introduced you to her boyfriend, Ben. he had an extremely deep English accent. your room was very nice, as well. you unpacked your things and knew, that it was all going to be okay from now on.
