Porcelain

You broke me,
Left shattered on the floor.
I stare at the debris and
As if looking through a spyglass,
I see each broken porcelain detail.
I begged God,
"What is happening to me?"
Others held the child's hand,
I pushed them away,
Held the glue on my own and stuck together grains of dust,
One by one,
Until the shadow cast on the floor,
Was blown away by a whisper.
