Dancing In The Dark

Chapter 01

||Violet's POV||

As always my morning started with loud bangs on my door,I pulled the duvet off me.

I was about to ignore the loud bangs and go to my small attatched bathroom when Aaron(my step-bro who is my age)came barging in.He scrutinized my room.

Unlike other rooms in this three storeyed huge house,mine was small and unattractive beacause my stepmom Casey said,I don't deserve anything beautiful!So after my dad died she moved all my things to the only used room in the third floor which was half the size of the room I lived in before.It had a small bathroom,a desk,a bookcase filled with books and the walls were mostly covered with quotes,poems,drawings and short stories.

Aaron's eyes were then focused on me.They were like their mother,they disliked &tortured me.

He took small steps towards me & said sarcastically,"Finally,sleeping beauty has decided to wake up"

I moved backwards because i was afraid of him,then i heard Masen's voice,"Come here Aaron.Stop wasting your time on that bitch."

"I am not a bitch!"I said.

"What did you say?!!"Aaron and Masen said in unision and came toward me.

"Nothing...I am..I am really Sorry..."I said trembling with fear beacause if they want to they could hurt me.The last time i stood up to them I got slapped hard on my cheek,from then, i never stood up to them.

"Watch that stupid mouth of yours!
Come on Aaron let's go i can't stand looking at her!"said Masen.

"Next time wear something sexy than this stupid icecream printed pajama"said Aaron,smirking.

Masen looked at him in disgust.Aaron laughed and said,"Don't worry.I would never fall for this stupid nerd".Then,they left.

I looked at them helplessly.I had to go through all this shit everyday!They embarassed me everyday!but i had to keep quiet.I could only hope that one day they will realize their mistakes and change.

I locked my room door and went into the bathroom.I stripped my clothes and stood under the shower.My body relaxed under the warm water.I spent around 20 minutes bathing,then i dried myself and stepped out of the bathroom dressed in jeans and a black crop top.

I brushed my brown hair.With my blue eyes i looked cute but i don't know why people hate me.

I looked through my window into the next house,they have been cleaning that house since yesterday.I heard from my bullies that their friend's family is going to be moving to that house this evening.

After I am ready,I put on my black sneakers and went downstairs. Casey(my stepmom)was in the kitchen so i quickly went in and grabbed a granola bar for breakfast.

"As ugly as always",Casey commented."I need some things from the shop.Here,buy these things.".She handed me shop list.

I took it and went outside.I had to buy a drawing book for me too.I walked to the shop instead of taking my car.

Once i reached the shop,i opened the door and went in.I took a shopping cart and began shopping.

Once I had finished i went in search for the drawing book when i heard a familiar voice behind me,"Whoahhh...Look who is here"

I turned behind and saw Axel and Mathew,two of my bullies.

"Please Axel,don't do this here."

"Oh no!The cute puppy is gonna cry.Just because you are cute doesn't mean you are not a nerd and an idiot."

"Yeah right",said shawn.

"What makes you say i am a nerd?"my voice was barely louder than a whispher.I was now trembling with fear.Some of the people were looking at us.

"Aawww!baby girl is scared",cooed Axel.

"Look,i have to go",i said and turned around to go,not waiting for their reply.

I was walking very fast and the next thing i know, i tripped over someone's leg and fell right on my face,all my things went flying on the floor.

I heard Axel,Shawn and Mathew (another bully of mine)laughing.

"Next time,watch where you are going",said mathew.Then they all went,leaving me on my floor.

"Are you alright?"I herd a masculine voice ,i turned around and saw a handsome boy around my age with brown hair and blue eyes like me.His eyes were filled with concern

"Ummm....no....."I said

He gave me his hand and helped me stand up."Thanks...i guess",i said.

He grinned."I am Nathan Black."
I smiled back at him,"I am Violet Summers."

He helped me pick all my things."Thank you.I have to go now.My mom will be waiting."

"I'll give you a ride home",he insisted.

"No it is fine,you have done enough help".

"Please....",he begged.

I sighed,"Okay."

"Yaaay!Come on"he led me to the parking lot.

He stopped infront of a blue benz car and opened the door for me.I got in.
He came to the his side,opened the door and got in.

"So..where do you live?".

"In Enfield Street"

"Really?I live there too"

"Oh..I have never seen you before"

He chuckled."Yeah because I moved in there in this evening".
