"(Y/n)! Glad you're okay!" Kiba smiled at me. As I got closer, he gave me a weird look and sniffed me. "Oi, you smell like Sasuke." he said. Everyone turned to me.

"(Y/n), what happened?" Kakashi asked me.

I sighed, "Jinko caught Sasuke's scent, but it was 5km more that way." I said pointing in the direction I came from. "I decided to go check it out. Jinko said he also smelled blood.. and when we got there, it was indeed Sasuke, and he was fighting Deidara. I decided to stay and observe their fight. It seems that after Sasori's death, Deidara has a new partner. I'm not 100% sure on his name, but Deidara called him Tobi. I couldn't see his face because he wore an orange mask. The result of that battle... is Deidara died." I said softly. "That giant explosion earlier was from Deidara, he blew himself up." I said. "I got out of there, I think Sasuke managed to escape as well, I'm not sure about the masked man." I told them.

"Yeah, he's alive. I caught his scent." Kiba said confidently, sniffing the air.

"Lead the way." Kakashi said and we all began to follow Kiba.

"Judging by the scent, they aren't moving. He must be resting!" Kiba said as we ran behind him as he rode on Akamaru. We then moved from the ground, to the trees.

"(Y/n), can't you use your flash step? Sasuke has a mark right?" Naruto asked.

"Even if I could, I could only bring 2 people with me. We don't know who might be there with him, and I can't bring Kakashi or Yamato." I said as we continued.

I heard Kiba gasp slight. "What is it, Kiba?" Naruto asked.

"It's Sasuke. He's on the move!" he said.

"We have to hurry. He's probably going after Itachi!" Naruto said.

"Hold on! Something's not right." Kiba said. "Sasuke's scent is splitting up." he said.

"They know we're using dogs to track Sasuke." I said as I jumped off another tree branch.

"They must've noticed us then." Kakashi said.

"Noticed us? How?" Sakura asked.

"They must have a powerful sensory type ninja with them." I said.

"The distances are too great, so we can't use radios!" Kiba said. "I'm the only one who can track him, but I can only follow one scent. What should I do?" he asked.

"Naruto?" I glanced at him and he smiled at me.

"I'll look everywhere, even if I have to go through every single straw of grass!" Naruto said. "I'll do whatever it takes! Multiple shadow clone Jutsu!" he said and about 100 of him appeared. We all split up to each chase after the scent since one could very well be Sasuke.

After running around, I noticed a few birds flying around as well. They also had some weird white cloth around their ankles. I managed to catch one. I looked at the cloth around it's leg and gently untied it, letting the bird go. I flattened the cloth against my lap, it had the Uchiha crest on it.

"So, that's what you did..." I smiled and burned the cloth with a simple fire technique.

I heard a cawing sound and I looked up and saw crows, everywhere. They all swooped down and I quickly ducked as they flew over, then around me, and formed a body in front of me. "Itachi?" I was surprised to see him.

"(Y/n)." he said and walked towards me.

"What are you doing here? If the others find you, they-" he covered my mouth and gave me a soft smile.

"I have a favor to ask of you." he said.

"What favor?" I asked.

"Watch the fight.. between me and Sasuke." he said.

"What?" I asked surprised. "Why?!  I- I can't." I said shaking my head. He smiled and pulled me into a hug.

"I'm sorry for not telling you. About anything. I wish I could tell you now, but it wouldn't change anything." he whispered into my ear. "I also wish I confessed first, winning you is one thing Sasuke beat me at." he said looking down at me. I looked up and stared into his familiar onyx eyes.

"Why do you want me.. to watch?" I asked.

"... I just want you to be there. That no matter what happens, and what I say. I want to know you'll never think of me badly." he said placing his forehead against mine. "I want you to always look at me like this... a friend, family, someone you love.." he whispered.

"Why are you talking like this now? Stop it.." I mumbled feeling tears come up to my eyes, I looked down at my feet.

"I want you to have this." he said and lifted his necklace from his neck. "I'm only a clone, but I truly do wish for you to take this, after everything is over.." he said. "You gave it to me as a gift, for being promoted, remember?" he asked and I nodded. "I want you to remember me with this." he spoke softly.

"No.." I shook my head and pushed him away. "I won't!" I looked up at him.

"(Y/n).." he called my name and reached out and held my hand.

"... Stupid... " I said feeling tears run down my face. He cupped my face and wiped my eyes.

"I'll leave you a crow to follow." he said and brought me in for a hug. I didn't resist. I couldn't bring myself to. He then disappeared in a flurry of crows. I sniffled and wiped my eyes and saw a crow standing in front of me, looking at me. I dried the tears on my face and sighed, trying to compose myself.

"Lead the way." I said softly and the crow took off.
