Part 10: The Reunion

YN's POV
Me, Maple, and Ruby were in the kitchen helping prepare for the people Qrow was going to be bringing over with Ren and Nora as Jaune set the table. "Alright, the first batch is just about done" Ren said

"Awesome now all we need is Uncle Qrow and we'll be all set" Ruby smiled

"Do you really think he's gonna bring that many people? This is a lot of food" Nora said eating a few of the carrots she was chopping

"Better to be prepared" I shrugged

Ruby nodded "I'm back" Qrow said from the other room

"Be right there!" Ruby said as me and Ren looked at the food she was cooking

"It looks a little over cooked" Ren said

"Shut up it's fine!" Ruby said defensively

"Hey Ruby!" Qrow called

"I'm coming!" Ruby said back

Smoke then poofed out of the pan as we backed away and blinked "Fine you take over" Ruby said slightly annoyed as she grabbed the tea tray and started walking to the living room as I followed with a few cups

"So we didn't know how many people are coming so we just decided to make all of it" Ruby said looking at the tray as I was staring at Yang and Weiss

I tapped her arm to get her to notice "What?" She looked at me

I smiled and pointed to Yang and Weiss. Ruby looked at them and dropped the tray shattering the tea pot. She gasped softly and Yang stepped closer as Ruby started rambling "Yang I-I'm So Sorry, I-I should've stayed, and I should've talked to you more! I'd-I just I wasn't sure if you wanted me around anymore-"Yang hugged her as Ruby started to cry lightly

"I love you" Yang said as I smiled at them

"I love you too" Ruby said

I walked back into the kitchen "Hey Maple?" She looked at me

"There's someone here you're gonna wanna see" I smiled walking back into the living room before Maple could question me

She followed me and saw Weiss. Maple gasped softly looking at her. Weiss raised her hand to wave but Maple ran at her and tackled her in a hug "I was worried about you, you dolt!" Maple hugged her close

"That's my line" Weiss smiled as they stood up

Jaune, Nora, and Ren walked into the living room smiling at the scene

Weiss smiled at Ruby Yang as they looked at her "Weiss" Ruby said as she opened the hug for Weiss

Weiss smiled running into the hug as Maple stood beside me "We should eat. It would be a shame to put all the food to waste and I'm sure everyone wants to tell some stories" I smiled as everyone nodded and Jaune brought the giant pot of ramen as we all sat down

We started laughing and exchanging stories. It felt like old times, if only we had Blake then it would be even better. "How do you lose your map at a time like that?" Yang asked Jaune

"Believe me. I've asked myself the same thing ever since" Jaune said

"Maybe it was because any time we saw a sign of civilization we threw the map on the ground" I facepalmed as everyone laughed

"Hey but you made up for it, Mister Muscles. You guys should've seen him take a huge Grimm head on" Nora boasted

"I couldn't have done it without Ruby wearing it down" Jaune said

"Me? Did you see Ren in that fight? He was out of control" Ruby laughed

"I'm sorry. I may have lost my temper momentarily" Ren chuckled nervously
