YN's POV
I slowly woke up with Ruby resting her head in the crook of my neck and humming softly in her sleep with a smile on her face. I decided not to disturb her and simply snuggled into her more resting my head on hers. We really needed something as relaxing as this after the few days we've had. A group of people are hell bent on destroying the world, Qrow nearly died, Ozpin's alive and in a new body, and my dad's back. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't hear Ruby tiredly calling my name until she pulled my cheek to get my attention "YYYYYNNNN~" She whined cutely while pulling my cheek

I pushed her hand away giggling "Sorry Rubes I guess I got lost in thought" I smiled and rubbed her head

"What were you thinking about?" She tilts her head smiling softly

"Just that we've been through a lot recently and we really needed some relaxing time together" I smiled

Ruby giggles and nuzzled into my chest "relaxing cuddle time" she sighed happily as I giggled blushing lightly

We stayed there cuddling with each other for a while longer until I got an idea "Hey Rubes?" I looked at her

"Yeah YN?" She looked up at me

"Would you want to hang out with me, Maple and my dad today?" I asked smiling

"Of course!" She smiled excitedly before that excitement faded "But don't we have to train today?" She asked

"We have a whole month to train, I'm sure we can have one day to ourselves plus dad could help us train later today if you'd like" I offered

"Alright let's do that" Ruby giggled excitedly

I pecked her lips and got out of bed to get dressed as Ruby did the same while smiling gleefully. We ate breakfast with everyone else, during which we asked Maple if she wanted to hang out with us and she agreed. After that we walked up to my dad "Hey Dad" I said to get his attention as Ruby and Maple walked up beside me

He turned around and smiled "Hey you three, What's up?"

"Well I was wondering if you, me, Ruby and Maple could all hang out today? Maybe explore Mystral?" I shrugged

He pats my head "That sounds great kiddo but you've got training to do" he sighed

"I know, but I was hoping we could spend some time together. We haven't seen each other in ages" I said looking at him with a slight frown

He thought for a bit "You can train us later today if that makes it better. Plus we just got Maple back. Don't you wanna hear about it?" I said trying to sweeten the deal

He sighed with a chuckle "Alright you got me, let's go but We're training afterwards got it?" We all nodded excitedly

We walked out of the house and started going on a sight seeing journey through Mystral "So YN mentioned it before and I am kinda interested to hear how you reunited with Maple Syrup?" Dad asked as Maple groaned

"Please don't call me that" she whined embarrassed

"What? You both have embarrassing nicknames" he pats my head "Mini Me" he pats Maple's head "And Maple Syrup"

We both grumbled "Do I get a nickname?" Ruby asked giggling

Dad hummed in thought "So far all I have is Rose Bud or Rubes" he said

I quickly responded with "Only I call her Rubes" I said surprised by my own defensiveness of a simple nickname I gave my girlfriend randomly one day

Everyone laughed as I blushed red hiding my face in my hoodie "YN please come out" Ruby giggles in my ear

I shook my head embarrassedly and she whispered into my ear so only I could hear "I can give you a kiss if you come out" She said shyly
