Just before I start, I should say I'm very busy at the moment, im starting back at school next week and I've got tons of summer homework to get through before then x_x so uploads will probably be a lot less regular whilst I'm studying but I'll write whenever I can :)

I roll over, and am surprised when I find myself in my own bed, in my own room...alone.

I throw back my covers, and slouch over to the window, leaning on the sill, the curtain bunched up in my fist, my nose pressed up against the glass, staring out at the grimy London street.

I can't stop thinking about everything that happened last week...

I jump as my mum's voice sounds behind me, and turn to see her standing in the doorway holding a cup of tea.

"interrupted a deep thought?" she laughs,

"Uh...yeah..." I mumble, stepping hastily away from the door. She hands me the cup of tea, but I don't sip it, I just hold it between my hands, my thoughts wandering again to the memory of Laura's touch...

"I'm going to need your dirty laundry..."

"Huh?" I look up from the tea between my hands to see my mum putting my suitcase on my bed and unzipping it, "Oh, right...don't worry I'll do that" I say, placing the mug on my bedside table and moving forwards to take my mums place,

"Ok, well don't be too long I want to get this stuff washed today" my mum says, throwing back the clothes she's been rifling through. She turns to leave,

"Uh...mum..." I say,

Should I tell her? How can I tell her...how would that conversation go? Mum, I'm gay...mum I'm sleeping with my best friend...no...never...maybe other kids would be okay telling their parents stuff like that but we just don't have that sort of relationship...

"Yeah?" she says, poking her head back round the doorframe. My stomach flips,

"Er...um...can Laura come over today?"

"If she's allowed, then once you've sorted this laundry out...sure. I would've thought you wouldve wanted a break from her after spending a whole week together" she says, a smirk on her face,

I give her a puzzled look, then sigh a "Fine..." and slump down next to my suitcase and start pulling out the stinking, sand covered clothes. My eyes slip out of focus, blurring the top I'm holding in my hands, as a memory takes over my thoughts...a flash of lightning shuddering down my spine and lighting my chest, as Laura's tongue pushes against mine...

I shake my head, bringing myself back into reality, as my phone buzzes loudly on my bedside table,

I throw the top onto the pile of dirty clothes accumulating in the middle of my bedroom floor, and lean over to answer it,

Laura's voice sounds on the other end,

"Hey...Sam?"

My eyes widen as I hear her tone of voice...she sounds scared,

"what? What's wrong?"

"Uhm...well...Leslie...." her next few words are so slurred and quiet I can barely make them out,

"Hold on! Hold on! Laura..."

I pull all the remaining clothes out of my suitcase, pick the entire pile up in my arms, my phone between my shoulder and my ear, and run down the stairs, drop the laundry in front of the washing machine, pull on my shoes, shove my keys in my pocket and rush out the door,
