The idea behind the "hijāb" (coverage) is not just about covering up physically. But it arises from a profound sense of modesty and moderation: hijāb means being moderate with words, with gestures, not using rude language; hijāb also means being spiritually clean, not malice, to not to be arrogant, to not to think ill of people, to not to feel envy or any form of hatred, do not judge etc ... This is the moral form of hijāb and the more you look at the figure of the woman under these parameters, the more we see it as surrounded by an aura of holiness, of chastity, of benevolence, and this would push even the most arrogant to respect her from the bottom of the heart, to honor her. This is the "hijāb" that Islām teaches . Nothing is triumphant if the hearts are not purified before. The issue of "moral hijāb" also applies to men.

Bodily hijāb

In this type of hijāb, man and woman differ; the former wears a long and wide dress up to above the ankles and a hat to cover the head (yes, like a "male veil"), can leave the face uncovered; the latter covers the whole body wearing a dress, preferably black, wide and long up to under the ankles, a veil covering the hair and must not leave the face uncovered.

Reason behind this difference ...

The reason for this difference must be searched in the respective psychologies, male and female, and the physiologies of the two (2) sexes; it is scientifically proven that in men physical attraction is much more immediate than in women. Therefore the latter is required to cover herself, including the face.

Precisely for this reason, the man, in his turn, is obliged not to look at other people's women and overall women in case they are not covered properly.

On the other hand, it is scientifically proven that in women physical attraction arises after a significant delay compared to men, that is, it is not as immediate as it is in men, therefore, men are not required to cover their faces.

The respective physiological characteristics, one of the causes of the divergence in the "bodily hijab", have been cited per se because they are the ones that include psychology and physiognomy within them, i.e. it is due to these (physiological characteristics) if the man or the woman are psychologically or sexually more or less attracted and viceversa.

Many have preconceptions and prejudices when dealing with these issues, because they start from an assumption that Islām preaches very differently from what they think or assume, which is equality only; but rather Sharī'ah combines in a harmonious way and with divine mastery, of course, equality with justice.
