There hadn't ever been a time when Solveiga wasn't told that dragons were evil, merciless, and vile beasts that needed to be slain.
Everyone on her home island of Berk held the deepest hatred for the scaled creatures and sought to completely rid them of their entire world. It was all Solveiga had ever been taught, and yet, a part of her hadn't ever agreed with them—even with her father having been killed by one of these dragons—a part of her had always sought to protect them rather than aid in their extinction.
Yet, the last thing Solveiga expected to come of one fateful day filled with a dragon raid, was to discover a certain boy within her village shooting down one of the rarest dragons in the entire world—and needless to say, she was NOT thrilled about it...
