Anne's p.o.v

"January 2nd, 2019. Today is the day after my New Years encounter with Gilbert Blythe. I can't stop thinking about him, I mean seriously the entire drive home from Diana's party my mind was scattering everywhere. I was smiling so much thinking about him that my jaw felt like it was going to fall off. Every moment that happened that night was so small...but so special. Does it even mean anything? DID it even mean anything? What does this mean? What will happen when school starts again. What will happen when I see the beautiful wavy haired boy in the school hallways...What will happen when one day I won't be able to contain my feelings for him..."

"I shouldn't be writing about him ugh!" Anne crumbled up the piece of lined paper she'd just written on, and threw it into her trashcan. "Ruby...I cant forget about Ruby." Anne sighed.
Anne looked across the room from her desk—A giant black zip-up jacket laid across the side of her bed. Anne stared at it intensely and quickly walked over to it. She sat next to it and held it in one hand, she looked at the jacket with a warm;loving smile. She thought of last night once again and couldn't help but fall even deeper for the boy whom was with her that special night. She quickly snapped out of her gaze. "I should give this back to him." She cleared her throat. "There's no need in keeping something that doesn't belong to you." Anne stated to herself.
She didn't mean any of it though...she wanted to keep that jacket, she wanted to walk into school and show everyone that she had his jacket, and that he was hers. But she despised those horrible desires, and would not let herself give into them. So she promised herself that she would return that jacket as soon as school started up again.

No matter how much Anne ignored her thoughts, she couldn't help but wonder if Gilbert was thinking about her...thinking about them...Did he even care about last night? Did it even mean anything to him? Maybe it did, or maybe it didn't.

Gilbert's p.o.v

"Well did it mean anything to you?." Charlie Sloane questioned. Gilbert stared intensely at the wall and then back up at his best friend. "Y-yea, yea it did. But I don't know if it meant anything to her." Gilbert sighed.
"Dude. She kissed you on the cheek! And the way you explain things makes it seem like all you guys do is stare into each others souls. She likes you bro, she just won't admit it." Charlie stated. "But why won't she admit it?" Gilbert asked. "Because something must be holding her back." Charlie stated, giving Gilbert a "duh" facial expression.
"But then again I don't know anything about girls. They're so confusing and complicated. But so beautiful. Anyways I'll see you later." Charlie headed out Gilbert's front door, waving goodbye. "Peace." Gilbert replied, shutting the door in confusion.

"Ooooo teen love teen love teen luva luva love!" Bash came in the front room singing while Mary was holding little Thomas whilst dancing around the room.

Gilbert rolled his eyes. "Seriously guys, not the time." He groaned. "Oh come on grumpy pants! Loosin' up! The pretty red head girl likes yah! Just wait and see! Hahaha!" Bash cheered.
Gilbert headed back up to his room, a smile couldn't help but creep on his face, they never failed to make him smile. Once Gilbert reached his room he shut and locked his door, he needed time to think to himself.

"Does she even like me? Like seriously what does this even mean? God how can someone be so beautiful! How can one person affect you so much. Maybe I'll just avoid her, yea that'll solve all your issues Gilbert. No I can't avoid her! Every time she's near I can't help but steal a glance or two. There's no way in the world I could avoid someone that gorgeous, and someone so worthy of my time. Whoah. Am I in love? Wait no god I'm not in love...or at least I don't think I am, I don't even know??? Okay that's enough."

Gilbert tried to get out of his thoughts, he jumped on his bed and laid there staring at his white ceiling.

Anne's p.o.v

Anne couldn't get out of her thoughts, they were completely taking over her mind. She hopped on her bed and laid there, staring up at her blank ceiling.
