''The successful marriage is not when you can live in peace with your wife, but when you can't live in peace without her'' -Yassir Qadhi

Yassir's POV:

I opened my eyes slowly exhausted to face the reality

I was feeling pain throughout my whole body as if I have been beaten up for days

''Yassir!" Azad shouted at me grabbing my hands

Even if I was still weak, I managed to take off her hands.

''What happened?'' I mumbled, realizing I was all dressed black.

A suit? Not it was definitely the Black caste's clothes.

"What..What happened?" I repeated trying now to sit

"You've been unconscious for three days.. I examined you and your body needs more rest" She told me smiling

Suddenly I remembered Arij

"Where is Arij?? Is she okay?" I asked trying to stand up worried

She stayed quiet

Looking at her expression, I clenched my fists

"If that has something to do with you, I promise I'll make you pay for it" I said holding in my anger

I tried hard to hold it in, remembering at the time that muslims shouldn't let their anger control them, our religion taught us also to give others excuses, and if we didn't find them, maybe there's a hidden excuse that we don't know.

I prayed then I opened the door willing to go out.

"Where are you going?" She asked madly

"Didn't you notice you're a Black now? And I'm your guardian" She added

I looked at her then I said:

"I hope that at least you'll remember every time you see me those poor girls and ask for forgiveness"

"They were seriously ill, I didn't kill them! They were anyway going to die " She told me

"Then are you saying you also deserve to die?" I told her coldly

"What do you mean.. How did you know?" She mumbled thinking that I didn't know about the fact that she had cancer

I went out of the house, without a plan and without anything but with just one goal: Saving Arij

But as soon as I passed the doorstep, my weak body fell to the floor unable to stand up

Azad came running: ''Your body is not feeling well Yassir, I'm talking as a doctor now.. You really need some rest''

''Your leg is infected what is giving you pain all over your body and severe fever'' She added

I was hallucinating, maybe I was going to fall unconscious again, maybe I won't be able to save Arij..

Was it the end? Was I being punished?

Did I even deserve Arij?

It has been complicated from the beginning.. she was at first a Black working for me and here I am turning into a Black also

Was it really the end of our story..?
