Tap.   Tap.   Tap.   Tap

I turn my head that is leaned against the window. I open my eyes and look out the window.

I watch each individual raindrop as the bus bumps across the road. So peaceful. The rain always had that effect on me. Calmed me in the middle of a storm.

  Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap

The rain stays at a steady beat. I watched and watched. Never turning my head from the window.

The bus starts to slow until it comes to a stop.

The bus driver's voice tiredly says "This is the last stop all passengers must get off."

I slowly turn my head to find I'm the only one left. I'm guessing that's for me. I get up and walk down the aisle. The bus driver waves and I just nod.

I slump down the stairs. I feel the rain hit my face. Drip down my cheeks. Fall unto my shirt. For a minute I just stand there.  Then I pull my hoodie over my head and walk away from the bus stop.

  Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.

I find a Chinese food restaurant and walk in. It's really late but it seems they will be open for a few more minutes.

There was an old lady at the counter. A smile seemed to make its way across her face. I'm guessing she doesn't get a lot of new customers.

"Hello" she with an accent telling me she was born somewhere in Asia.

"Hi" I say quietly almost a whisper.

"Anything I can get you?" she says somewhat struggling.

"Fried rice and chicken please" I'm not really the picky type eater so anything would do honestly.

"Ok. Coming up. It will be $10"

"Ok. Thank you." I say while pulling out my wallet in my backpack. I give her the money and sit in a seat by tables that are set.

I look out the window. The rain continues to drizzle like putting sprinkles on a cake. The sidewalks begin to form puddles which reflect the luminescent glow from the full moon in the sky.

Although it wasn't that late the moon had already taken its place leaving the sun to set. It was beautiful. For a moment you could feel the atmosphere inside. It was peaceful.

Keyword WAS.

The sun sets leaving the moon alone in the sky to fend for itself.

The women had come to the table with my order. She said "Enjoy" before disappearing into the kitchen. I begin to open my plate as a  man and women marched into the restaurant.

The old lady comes from out of the kitchen and asks what can she can the couple. The man orders and uneasy sensation sturs deep within my stomach.

I begin to eat my food quicker as the man and women sit next to me. I feel eyes shooting daggers behind me but continue to keep my eyes on my food.

"Excuse me are your eyes and hair grey or blue"

Dang it. My contacts must have already used up the fake color. I forgot to put on new ones.

I lift my head to the couple. The man disgusted and the women intrigued. I say "Both" lowly.

The man says "Don't talk to her honey she probably some disgusting mutant. Why else would her eyes grey and blue". He then directs his head to me and asks "Are you even allowed to be here? Probably should be in jail." venom dripping through his words. "I'm calling authorities I don't feel safe. You are the one I saw on the news last month." He pulls out his phone and quickly dials buttons.
