Jay POV
Its been two months since my accident and things have slowly settled back to normal. Well, as normal as it can be with Swecha tagging along our normality. The annual event conducted by Maanav's father came around he was ordered to Mexico to attend the family/business/conference gathering. And he ordered Swecha in return to keep an eye on me. I was seriously offended. They just brushed it off and I with my supreme maturity flipped them off and locked myself in my room, refusing to make them dinner. My maturity came to end when they ordered out pepperoni pizza. It is not like I am that fan of food as Swecha is, but everyone bows down to pizza. That is the universal law.
"Have you packed everything?"
"For fucksake, YES! I did, Jay" Maanav said annoyed.
My lips tilted up a little. His bag stood between us as we waited for the announcement of his flight.
"Have you talked to him about quitting college?" I asked.
Maanav grimaced.
"No. I have to do it now. I don't think it will end well." He said looking down at his polished shoes. He straightened his neatly pressed jacket and gave me a lopsided grin.
"MAANAV!! You haven't left yet have you? Oh thank god. Here"
And she shoved three bars of chocolate, a Agatha Christie book and a power bank and two water bottles into his arms. My eyes widened a little. Just a little and I had the sudden urge to laugh. I shook my head to clear the stupid urge but a little tilt slipped out.
"What the-"
"Chocolates if you are hungry, book if you are bored, water bottle so you could be hydrated all the time and power bank for emergency power purposes. These are basic travelling necessities." Swecha said as if its one of the constitutional laws.
Maanav laughed and I coughed swallowing back the stupid urge which is trying to build.
"You do know he is travelling through a first class plane right? All of these would be available to him in the plane." I said relieved that my voice sounded my regular monotone.
She shrugged.
"He will not find this particular Ferraro chocolates or Agatha Christie book in there. And what if the plane crashes and he has to swim to a bare island and has to go all Man vs Wild over there. These water bottles and power bank would come in handy then." She said.
"She is convinced that the plane is gonna crash, isn't she?" Maanav asked.
"I will be disappointed if she isn't. Maybe we should check upon the books she is reading. These theories could be reproductions of her obsession with books." I said looking at her thoughtfully.
"She will kill us then."
"At least we will have a break from her theories." Maanav cackled and Swecha stamped on my foot.
I raised my eyebrow at her.
"I know. But it gives me a satisfaction that you won't understand." She said
"I understand." Maanav said giving her a sympathetic look. I rolled my eyes.
The announcement of Maanav's flight came then and I handed him his bag while he shoved all of the things Swecha bought into his backpack and winked at her. I shook my head at them.
"Take care of him." He said to her and left.
We stood their watching him as he left. When he turned back before entering the portal Swecha grabbed my hand and waved up our hands entwined together at him.
