Swecha POV
I struggled to park my car in the allotted space as the horns filled the air around me. I sighed and tried once again to park without hitting anyone.
I tried to inch a little forward but stepped on the accelerator and it jerked forward.
I gasped as it almost collided with the car in front of me. I stepped on the breaks in full panic mode and pulled my car back.
And crashed against the car present at the back of me.
"Fuck." I cursed and face-palmed myself.
I looked up at the chaos I created. People came out of their cars and surrounded mine. I took a breath and got out.
Two boys came out of the car I just collided with wearing identical black shirts and dark blue jeans. One of them was glaring at me while the other just stood there staring at me. And they both were immaculately beautiful if they were not currently trying to bite my head off
"Move the car, you dick!! "
"What? We are partying here? Move it!!"
"Hey girl! What happened? Miss the dick? Move on for heaven's sake."
People shouted around me. I resolutely ignored them and made my way to Glaring and Staring.
"I am sorry. I really am sorry. I will pay for it. How much ever it is. "
I said looking up at them. Jesus Christ, they are tall. I was wearing my high heels which gave me a three inch height and still I reached a little above Glaring shoulder and barely of Staring.
"It's o-"
Staring started when Glaring cut him off
"How did you ever manage to get your license?" He asked his tone genuinely curious.
I shrugged.
"My dad is rich." I deadpanned.
Glaring laughed tuning down his glare while Staring just continued staring at me through his rather disgusting glasses.
"Clearly," Starring said for the first time since we met, his face a epitome of blankness.
Weird.
"Stop picking on her, Jay. It's not like she did it intentionally. You newbie?" The Not-so-glaring-now asked.
"Huh? Yes. Today's my first day."
I said trying to coax some sympathy. The shouting turned a notch louder and I was shifting from one foot to another.
"We should move." Jay said getting back to the car and settling in the passenger seat.
"Don't bother about the dent. I am Maanav, by the way. Let's move it shall we? Before the crowd goes wild."
He said throwing a smile at me. We both moved our cars and I finally parked my car without physically abusing other cars. I made my way into my new college and let out a breath.
That's one hella way to start college life.
I thought to myself chuckling.
Well, I have been through worse.
The seniors were everywhere guiding and distributing timetables to everyone. They were all in black shirts and dark blue jeans. I tried to identify the stare and glare duo but gave up when the orientation started.
We are bound to meet if we are in the same college anyway.
.....................................
"Hi Dad." I said holding my phone close to my ear.
I could hear that he was busy with some ever going meeting. Again.
"How much do you want? Just tell it to John and he will see through it. "
He said his voice dripping with annoyance of my interruption. I sighed.
"It isn't about money. I-"
"Enough of this shit, Swecha. You are not dropping out. "
"I... "
"You are not dropping out, Swecha. "
He hung up the phone with that. I sighed looking around myself. The house hasn't changed a bit since the last time I left.
"Welcome to Goa, Swecha."
I whispered out loud.
I made my way down to kitchen and rummaged through the fridge. My housekeeper stacked the refrigerator with my favorites but nothing appealed to me. Not at the moment.
Shaking my head I jumped and sat on the kitchen counter and opened my phone and started scrolling through facebook. My solace. The only thing that actually always listens to me without snapping at me or make me flinch or incidentally hate myself.
'#worldsuckingmealive, guess hating myself would always remain a constant in my life. '
I posted.
And continued scrolling.
