"I was raised in the zoo where niggas never played by the rules, some nigga tried to play me back in high school, I fucked around and made the news" - YFN Lucci

"Scoop did what?!!" Tasha looked at me like she saw a ghost.

"He told me...he's the one that said.." I started but her actions stopped me.

Tasha froze in her tracts. Her eyes looked like they where filled with unwanted tears.

"Girl you good. You might want to sit down." Skylar pulled up a chair and helped her sit down. She also gave her some water.

"Practice the breathing techniques I taught you. In.... Out .... There we go."

When Tasha finally got her breathing under control, she drunk the whole glass of water.

"God, I wish that could have been something stronger." She banged the glass on the table.

I had no idea why Tasha was doing all of this but I was eager to find out. Most importantly I was concerned about the baby.

"Tasha, Im not understanding whats wrong. Is the baby okay?" She looked at me as Skylar used her hand as a fan to calm her down.

"Is the baby okay? Hell yes its okay. But that aint the damn point! Do you have any idea what happened to the last person that betrayed King."

Bang!!

Before Tasha could catch her next breath, Marcus ran into the house.

"Come on yall we got to go!! He's shot !!"

I could feel it all at once. My heart feel between my legs. I couldn't move.

You know how they say that the human body has an automatic fight or flight response. Yeah, my body was currently stuck in the "or" transition.

"Come on Angel!" Marcus shook me but my foot wouldnt move. Frozen.

"Look there aint no time for this. Tasha, Angel get in the car with Skylar. Skylar you follow me. We have to go to the hospital now."

"What about the kids" Skylar said as she picked up the keys.

"Bring them too, but we got to go." He headed towards the door.

"Wait. Who got shot."

"I dont have no time to explain. Just come on." And with that Skylar ran upstairs and grabbed the kids. By this time the kids tired themself out so she had one kid in each arm.

She headed out the door and disappeared for a while. When she got back she came for Tasha and disappeared again.

I was alone.

I still couldn't breath or move.

Every bad thought possible was going through my head. I don't know who shot who but either way it go, It was my fault. Everything was my fault. I shouldnt have said anything. I should have just ....

"Angel. Look at me." Skylar said in a hushed tone.

"Look mama we have to go. Now."

And with that something switched in me. This is really happening. I grabbed my purse and followed her to the car.

Skylar cranked up the car and drove like a maniac to the hospital. Every red light we hit made me so anxious that my legs began shake uncontrollably.

I felt her hand sit on my thigh.

"Its going to be okay. To the both of you."

"I should have known. I heard the gunshots outside. I just... I live in a good neighborhood. I told myself that it aint no way." Tasha said as tears fell down her cheeks. She continued to breath steadily and rubbed her belly.
