The Black Series: Book I
'I never knew there was a love like this before' - Faith Evans
"I knew from the moment he touched me that this man would be the death of me."
She looked at me like a deer...
I paced back in forth until I couldn't feel my feet anymore. He was suppose to be here over an hour ago. I looked at the clock that read 12:56am.
Technically meaning this nigga was suppose to be here yesterday. I cant believe he goes through all this attention just to stand me up. Like what type of shit is that.
I walked to my phone and texted Sky to make sure her and Luna made it back safe. She texted back and let me know they are fine for the tenth time.
KNOCK KNOCK!!
I really need to have a conversation with this motherfucker about banging on my door like he the fucking police. We are not in the hood anymore.
I opened my door to him looking better than I expected. Because it was late I was expecting sweats and a T-Shirt at most.
He didnt come to play. And neither did I.

I rested my hip on the doorframe and waited for his apology.
"You know that when you call someone over to the house a second time that means that you have to let them in this time right." He smirked. Damn he sounds better than I remembered. Maturity is a bitch.
"I don't have to do shit." I said while adjusting my hip to the other side.
And with that. He smirked and began to walk away. I dont give a fuck. He can dip. No one missed his ass when he left the first fucking time.
"Wait." Well. I guess I did.
"I have rules." I said stoping him by placing my finger in his chest.
"Im listening." He replied. Its about damn time.
"Number one. No touching." I sated but was interrupted by him glaring at my finger still in his chest. He can go to hell.
"Number two. Im asking all the questions. You haven't been here so you dont get to pop up and ask me shit. I tell if I and only if I feel like opening my damn mouth."
He nodded.
"And rule number three. Get in the house before you let all my damn A/C (air conditioning) out. " I said with a faint smile.
"Shoes." I motioned toward the shoe rack next to the door.
He silently placed his shoes next to a pair of my six inch all black Michael Kors work pumps.
I led him to the kitchen and sat two glasses on the island. I opened a bottle of Jack Daniels and poured two shot glasses.
Normally I dont do the whole dark liquor thing. But at this point, I think I might need it.
"Lets play a game." He said.
"You haven't seen me in over five years and the first thing you want to do is play a damn game." I asked.
