Yes, even the happiest of people can get melancholy. Yes, there can be wails behind the best and loudest laughs. Yes, all this is possible.

Loudest laugh she had,
Listen to her bedroom door close and hard.
Wails but no one knows why,
To afraid to tell,
Sad, depressing tales.
Fear of opening doors
As they would be shut and banged in her face.
"In the end I always end up alone"
Don't we all!

"So what's the use" she asked,
"Of saying why
Takes the little energy I have left,
Rather say I'm fine.

What's the use
Of opening doors ,
For another,
To roam around then leave
Off to another room.

What's the use
Of crying.
They'll all see,
Can't comprehend,
Do nothing much!
What's the use?

I'd rather laugh
Act like it's all good,
Even when I've had enough
I'll still say it's ok ,
Because enough is never enough for people these days.

What's the use
Of leaving clues
That'll be burned.
Rather smile,
And move along
As I wait to be alone
Where I can only cave and cope with what lies ahead.

But again I ask,
What's the use of sleep,
When it's just fantasy
Of a world that'll never be!
Lasts only for a few
Then back to a black hole, reality.

Now tell me.
What's the use of showing you're not ok?
When acting like it is, is the closest you'll ever get to O!"

Answers she still waits,
Still, silence.

And even when she knew she was breathing her last, she said "I'm fine"
Because she knew
There's nothing new,
There's nothing anyone would have done.
All her air had been depleted.
