Chasing The Sun

The Chase

You hated her explicitly, 
But you loved her implicitly.

She hated you implicitly, 
But loved you explicitly.

This implicit love, only you two knew.
Your love couldn't be put to words- a feeling so new.
Her hatred so strong but not even she knew about.

Your hatred so weak that it looked strong.
And no matter how deep your love was, 
When it was just the two of you,
This hatred you had for her,
Dug holes deeper than your love was.

You hurt her and she showed you, 
She told you.
But you both didn't know you needed glasses,
You both didn't know you had hearing problems,
So she just thought she was being ignored ,
She felt forgotten .
And she was athazagorophobic.
You thought it was all alright,
But you didn't bother removing the wax in your ear to better your hearing,
You didn't bother a bit of strain in your eyes so you could see her pain that you caused.

She couldn't keep up,
Two people but the same person. 
"Who is he really?" She always asked.
Your egocentric self,
Caring too much about reputation, 
Too blind to see you losing your most important.

You gave her hapinness that can't be explained.
But this lasted for a short while,
Shorter than the melancholy you caused.
Melancholy that no one knew existed; that shouldn't exist nor be felt.
But she stayed,
Hoping one day you'd strain,
Hoping one day you'd get the wax off your ears.

And then you noticed her fading, 
You noticed her leaving.
Then you loved her explicitly and implicitly.
And she said never again would she chase this.
And she told you she was done,
But she still loved you, But now implicitly
And then she said, 'goodbye to us'

'Why? Isn't this what you've wanted for a long time now?' Everyone asked

 
And she simply answered;
'Would you rather chase your dreams or happiness?
Would you rather be forever in melancholy or forever in paradise?'
