*warnings: violence, death.*

Frank drove me to school next day. School starts after 15 minutes and we are in the car outside of the school.

   I take a deep breath.

“Promise me you're here when I get out of school.” I say and turn to look at him. “I promise, just go now.” He gives me a smile.

I grab my schoolbag and jump out of the car. I close the door behind me and take a last glance of the car before I head towards the school's entrance.

Once I get inside, I head towards history classroom and go inside to take a seat. I sit to a desk what is at the back of the room.

I wait there quietly till the teacher came inside and began the class.

It's lunch, though I never have lunch. I just sit to a empty table, alone.

I take out my pretty broken phone. I haven't checked it today at all. Or yesterday.

There's many calls and texts from my father. I just read the texts.

“Where are you darling?”

“If you are not here in 30 minutes… you don't want to know what happens.”

“Okay, that's it. You're late.”

“It's morning. Where in heck are you?”

“I'm gonna find you.”

“And kill you.”

I start to breath heavily and look around. Fortunately, I don't see him anywhere. But I'm scared. It's not safe here. Or is it? Here is many witnesses, so he can't kill me here, right? Right?

I get up from the table and head out from the cafeteria.

I take math books from my locker and head towards next class.

It's 2.55 and I push through the school's entrance. I search Frank's car with my gaze and as I see it, I walk towards it. I hear Jack shouting my name from behind me and I pick up my pace. I hear him and the others run after me. “You can't get away from us!” Janica shouts.

Tears start run down my cheeks and I see Frank getting out of the car. I run as fast as I can to him and he orders me to get in the car.

As I sit there, I see Frank walking up to the five. He says something and the teens look scared.

Then Frank turned around and walked back to the car. He closes the door behind him and started the car, pulling off from the parking lot.

“What did you say to them?” I ask while we were driving. “What do you think?” He asks. I sigh deeply and look out of the window. “Thank you. About everything. Yesterday you could have left me there like everyone else. But you didn't and I'm very grateful about that.” I say. “Hey, nothing's your fault and everything's okay as long as I'm around.” He says and I nod.

“They're not gonna stop, you know?” I say as we sit at the kitchen table, eating dinner. “Yeah, I know.” Frank replies and puts food into his mouth.

We eat in silence. I eat a little and say, “I'm not hungry.” and leave the room with that.

The doorbell rang when I went past it. I freezed still and turned around, going back to the kitchen. “Expecting someone?” I ask and he shakes his head. “No.” He says, taking his gun and going closer to the front door.

“Who's there?” Frank asks. Short silence followed.

“Mark.” Says the male from the other side of the door. My heart starts racing as I hear my father's deep voice. I back up few steps, scared expression on my face. ‘My father.’ I mouth to Frank.

Something snapped inside him, clearly. He sighs. ‘Hide.’ He mouths to me and I run to the bedroom and hide under the bed. I stay quiet, listening to them.

“If you think I'm gonna let you in with that gun in your hand, you're wrong.” Frank says to my father. Again long silence. I hear some mumbling. Probably my father's. “Just drop the gun. Then I'll let you in.” Frank says.

Minute after that, I can hear the front door open and my father's voice again.

“Why are you here?” Frank asks. “Because of my daughter. Five students from her school told me that she’s here.” He says. “Where is she?” He yells.

I gather all my courage and get out from under the bed, walking to the hallway. “I'm here, Mark.” I say and he turns to look at me. An evil smirk formed to his face. “Shit.” Frank mumbles under his breath.

I walk beside Frank and look at my father in the eyes. My eyes are shining because of how mad I am. “Sweetie, does this man do something bad to you?” My father asks. (I'm not gonna call him father again, though.)

“You son of a bitch. Do you know what you did to her? Uh oh, you're not gonna get out of this so easily. People like you don't deserve to walk on this planet.” Frank says, breathing heavily because of anger.

“If you kill me. My men are coming after you. Both.” Mark says. “I don't give a damn shit about it. Wouldn't be the first time. They’ll die, too. Guess how many missions I've failed?” Frank says and asks. A silence. “Zero. None. Everyone is dead.” Frank says. Mark laughs. “You're a psychopath.” He says.

Just then Frank aims and shoots him straight in the middle of his face. Mark's lifeless body falls on the ground.

“We gotta leave now.” He says and I nod. My eyes are still locked to my father's body. I don't even feel sad. I feel relieved and... happy.

I take a bag for myself and Frank takes his own. We pack some useful and important things into them. Before we leave, Frank gets his first aid kit pack from the bathroom. “Will be useful.” He says, showing it to me and then into his pack.

We walk out of the house. “So what now?” I ask.

“Our journey has just only begun.” Frank said. A smile formed to my face. This is gonna be fun.
