In the silence of the night, a shadow is lurking on the darkness. On top of an abandoned building, afraid to make a sound, the man swiftly moved his body, trying to find a better view of his target.

He patiently waited for the time to strike 12 just like Cinderella, the only difference is he's not walking away from the prince leaving his glass slipper, he's actually coming for him.

He boredly looked at his watch.

11:57 pm.

Three minutes and his job will be done.

He positioned his newly bought M40A5 rifle and looked at the scope to scan the area.

If his source is right, which he doesn't doubt, the target will be passing through this alley with his gangs to meet with a client.

His target is the leader of a drug syndicate. As per request, he'll aim at his head to ensure quick and painless death.

In his line of work, he lives by the motto "One Shot, One Kill". He has killed a lot of people with only one shot. If he has to use a knife for short range combat, he stabs directly in the heart or sometimes slices the neck for quick death.

Killing should be done in a fast way. He can't let a minute pass by or else he'll be putting himself in danger.

He's a hired assassin whose identity has never been revealed to anyone except his partner.

Their job goes like this, a request will be sent to their secured email address. His partner will analyze and test the request whether it's just a trap or not.

If the request passed his partner's intricate analysis, it will be sent to him through a voice message in their secured line or an email.

His partner helps him hack everything that needs to be hacked. He's also in charge of tracking the assassin's location and give possible escape routes in case there's an emergency, which rarely happens by the way.

Simply, his partner is in charge of the works behind the scene, while he's the one who did all the killings.

They are not the only two in this field. A lot of hired assassins are positioned in different areas around the world. However, the two are the best out there. They get a lot of requests because they always do a great job.

The government knows about the fact that there are hired assassins, but they can't do anything about it. Everytime the police tries to trap an assassin, they either ended up beaten, worst case scenario - dead.

As much as possible, assassins only kill the requested targets. If however, there are other people who were involved with the targets, they don't necessarily kill them unless they have done something to threaten the assassin's life or identity.

The assassin checked his watch again.

11:59 pm.

As soon as he looked at the scope, he heard footsteps coming from different directions. On the right side were two men dressed in black and on the left were three men who also wear the same.

Bingo.

The assassin saw the face he was waiting for and without blinking his eyes, pulled the trigger. The bullet went straight to the man's head, exactly at his temple.

Shout and gasp followed as the man slowly fell on the ground with blood gushing out of his lifeless body.

"You traitors!" One of the men shouted in anger, seeing their boss lifeless. They took their guns out and started firing at each other, thinking that they have been tricked.
