I don't think I have ever been this nervous in my life. and thats saying something because I'm scared almost all the time.
I have spent the beginning of my life not feeling... right. Something about me has always troubled me but when I was younger but I couldn't really put my finger on in.
I mean as a kid I would like to do more boyish things but my mom would still put me in dresses and I would think nothing of it.
but now I have been a boy for a few years now and almost everyone I know knows me as Evan and not Evelyn but I think today... today I'm going to tell my friends.
I walked over to my group (Connor, Alana, Zoe and Jared) they were all out side the school standing around the parking lot waiting for me
my hands were shaking and I was sweating as I walked up to them
"hay acorn! whoah whats wrong!" Jared asked leaning on the brick wall and turning his body to me
"did you break the law?" Connor asked hands in his pockets, leaning on his car
"or say sorry too many times" Alana suggested with her arm around Zoe
"I, um..." I started, my stomach filling up with dread but I quickly mustered a small amount of courage and blurted "Ineedtotellyouguyssomethingreallyimportant"
"all righty, shoot" Jared said giving me finger guns
"w-well, um..." I started
NO POV
"I, um, d-don't know how t-to say this but, er, Iwasbornagirl!" Evan said, his eyes shut tight
the group stood there in shock, the silence only making Evan more anxious
"Evan... you know we will love you no matter what" Connor said sincerely
Alana and Zoe just hugged him and said reasoning things to show they loved him
Jared stood looking at Evan
'shit' Jared thought 'should I play it off or be serious'
".... am I allowed to make a joke?" Jared asked quietly
"NO." they answered in unison
