So Peggy kept up the nostalgic memories to make everyone a bit happier when she died
Just Peggy
"Then Lafayette yelled "Revolution! Amenez les dames au lit pour la révolution!" I swear I hadn't laughed that hard in years!" Angelica started snorting at the memory
"I'll never forget that ball, I received my first husband out of it..."
Everyone grew silent
Though in my years I've grown bitter
I had my saving grace
It was my sisters
"So, which one of you will be reading my will and testament?" Peggy asked out of nowhere
"Angelica?" Eliza asked
"Eliza...?" Angelica questioned
"And PEGGY!" Peggy yelled and it startled everyone in the room. It brought her so much to pain to yell, she felt her lungs collapse on herself from the strenuous movement. They laughed again
"The Schuyler sisters..." Alexander said with a smile
They confided in me
They taught me love and understanding
They confided in me
I love them the greatest sisters of all
Alexander went to grab Eliza's hand but she lost her smile, cast her eyes down, and pulled her hand away
Thank you for telling me about Alexander
Thank you for telling me about your dreams
Thank you for telling me about patience
But now my time is up
"I never finished the biography...will you do it? Will you tell our story?" Peggy requested
"Peggy, of course we will. We will never let anyone forget you." Eliza reassured her
They confided in me
May the find love and happiness
They confided in me
May they always be satisfied
"Penny for your thoughts, Angelica?" Peggy asked her older sister
"Oh nothing, I'm just curious is all. What would've happened if we all chose different paths in our lives?" Angelica said
""Whatever do you mean?" Eliza questioned
"Nothing, don't worry your pretty little head about it, 'Liza."
Thank you for saving me from him
Thank you for being there when I lost him
Thank you for being the only ones I love him
Thank you for being the only ones I love
"I love you. I truly do. I love each and every one of you because you've taught me so much. You've taught me to be strong, to be confident, to never stay in a place where I am not happy. Thank you. Thank you so much." Peggy felt her breathing slow down
Everyone noticed this
You confided in me
Trusted me when the world was hateful
You confided in me
I love you the greatest sisters of all
"Shhhh, it's alright we're here, Peggy. We wont leave you." Eliza grabbed her sister's left hand and Alexander our his hand under it, without any complaint from Eliza
"We love you, and we will stay by your side..."
Thank you for telling me about Alexander
Thank you for telling me about your dreams
Thank you for telling me about patience
But now my time is up
Peggy closed her eyes and the tears started to stream down her face. She started to sob
"Angelica—Alexander—E-Eliza...I don't want to die!" Her death seemed to finally sink in with Peggy
"It's alright love, God loves you and he will take you." Eliza said with tears coming down her face too
But now my time is up
Peggy squeezed everyone's hands tighter as she started to lost control of her hearing and vision
"M—My god, this is ha-happening isn't it? The moment I joked about, it's here. Oh no, what have I d-done?" Peggy said with regret
Peggy opened her eyes for the last time and looked Angelica in the eyes
"I l-love you, I'll see you on the other side."
But now my time is up
Peggy squeezed her sister's hand tightly one last time and gasped
"I didn't think I'd see you again..." Peggy said breathlessly and closed her eyes
My time is up
