I was dressed in leggings and a long sleeved t-shirt, despite it being 90 degrees outside and Anne telling me to change about 3 different times. The hole was a close call. But luckily, nobody- besides Auden- knew anything. I still had to explain something to her- even if that meant lying. But I wasn't good at that, and I had a feeling she would catch my lie soon after I told it.

When Anne brought up my clothing choices, Lauren- seated at the bar- smiled behind her cup of water. I blushed and managed to stutter that I was going over to the Wilson's house.

It was about 5 o'clock in the evening, and although the sun wasn't going down in a while, I felt immensely tired.

I finally got away from Anne's nagging about why I was going over- I'll admit that I was grateful she cared, no one before has. I ran to the Wilson's house and knocked on the door.

Expecting someone over 5 foot to answer the door, I was surprised to have to look down. A ball of sunshine stood before me. She looked around 7 years old, and had blonde hair and the twins matching green eyes.

She stuck out her hand. "Hi," I started, shaking it. "What's your name?" I asked, and kneeled to her height.

"I'm Honey, Mason and Andrew's sister. Though you probably already knew about that." I wondered how she knew that I knew them. "A lot of girls have come here in the past for my brothers, so I'm used to answering for them. Though, you're one of the only ones that have taken me partially seriously." I was surprised she knew what I was wondering, and that she was so smart at a young age.

"Well it's nice to meet you Honey. Can I come in, please?" She nodded and opened the door a little wider.

"My brother's told me ALL about you... he's in the basement, you can go there if you want, or I could just yell for him." She smirked. My eyes widened.

"Um, you don't have to. I'll go find them.." I trailed off and started towards the stairs. "Honey, why weren't you at the barbecue?" I wondered.

"I was sick with the flu and binge watching Netflix, so my mom felt comfortable going next door. I wasn't left alone though, I had my dog with me. He barks super loud, but I put him in my room so that's why you didn't hear him." Her childish eyes were animated as she spoke of her beloved dog.

I quickly jogged down the stairs quickly and turned the corner, running in to the wall. "Ouch." I muttered. I quickly realized it wasn't a wall, but a person. Yikes.

Mason laughed at my shocked face. He was wearing a pair of basketball shorts and a cougar t-shirt. A toothbrush was hanging out of his mouth as his smiled and picked me up in a hug. A toothbrush? It was 5 in the evening.

"I'm getting ready for a date, and I'm guessing.. You're looking for Andrew right?" He wondered.

I nodded, and looked past him, seeing if Andrew was in his room or not. "Yeah, I wanted to hang out. Who is your date with?" I asked.

He smiled, probably thinking about her. "Her name is Ainsley." I nudged him.

"Seems like you really like her, eh? Where are you going?"

"We're going to this burger place called Wattburger, then the movies. I'm really excited. And," he sighed, "I'm sorry for being disrespectful and kissing you out of the blue earlier. I was way out of line. Anyway, I realized I did it as an apology. I thought you would've fallen for it- for me, like every other girl if I had. But I didn't do it because I like you. Not like that. You're a great friend but, I like Ainsley." I'll admit, it hurt a bit. But not as much as I thought it would. That surprised me.

I forgot what I was thinking of earlier when Andrew poked his head out of his bedroom door. "Have fun on your date," I replied, and sped over to Andrew, jumping into a hug. It was way out of character for me, but I was desperate to get out of that awkward conversation. He smelled like Pineapple Bush, a really yummy cologne.

"Hey Leah, what are you doing here?" He asked surprised, amused, but pleased that I was there.

I was set down and shrugged. "I wanted to hang out, I was thinking... ice cream, if you're able to.." Crap. what if he wasn't able to? I hadn't thought that far. Shoot... what if I came here for nothing?

"Leah, are you asking me on a date?" I choked on air, as he smugly grinned and cocked his eyebrow. In the back of my head, I was thinking that I sort of liked it when he said my name.

I was at a loss for words. "A date? What? Nonono, it's not like that at all, I swear. I just wanted to hang out. Like ice cream then maybe the park. Because, ya know, that's what two friends do when they're hanging out.." I continued rambling on as i thought about what he said. Didn't I say that I just wanted to hang out? Wait, did I even want that? He makes me so confused.

"Okay then, sure," his smile made me feel better. Like I hadn't just made a fool out of myself, which I had. "Let me just grab my keys." He led me upstairs and into the garage. A beat up blue truck stood in front of us.

"Please tell me that that is your truck," I loved it. It seemed like it had a lot of memories in it. He unlocked the doors and I hopped into the passenger seat. When he pulled out of the driveway, I turned towards him and asked, "what's it's name?"

"Name? It's a car... I didn't think that you could name a car." I smiled at his mild confusion.

"Can I name it then?" He nodded. "Hmm... what about.... Old.. red. Old red is perfect!" I smiled.

"Buckle up Leah." he reminded me, then remembered. "Old red. But it's blue." I scrambled to get the seat belt to go in the clasp. I was fumbling around because I wasn't focused on the seat belt. Andrew noticed I needed help, and leaned over taking the belt and fastening it. He looked up at me and I suddenly noticed our close proximity.

"I know, that's whats funny about it, don't you think? I like it." I replied once he leaned back and I regained my normal heartbeat. Shouldn't I feel like this for the other twin.

He sighed. "Okay." I grinned, knowing I won.

"Okay."

Too soon we pulled into the ice cream parlor.

A.N.

If you're thinking what i'm thinking- which is

1) that was the fault in our stars reference (Because it totally was)

2)Leah and Andrew are sorta really cute together (because I totally ship them as well)

3)It'd be nice if I had someone like him (because... me too)

Then you'd be correct, (and I'd feel bad for you).

I think Old Red is the cutest name for a truck and I actually got that name from my grandpa's old truck. I heard many stories about it, and the name just stuck
