I stumbled into the doorway of the old car factory, immediately setting the guards on high alert. They quickly recognized me and raced forward to help.
"Christ! What the Hell happened to you, boss?" Juniper demanded, slipping her arm around my waist.
"I underestimated our enemy," I hissed, anger still fueling my body.
"You missing an arm, you know?" Proxy noted tactfully.
"It will grow back in a month or so." I growled. "I underestimated Greyson."
"So you didn't kill him?"
It hurt the most to say the next part.
"I failed."
"But there's a Plan B, right?" Juniper insisted.
I smirked. "Of course there is."
