M : and nandini got caught between all of this

Ad : before it gets more out of control, we need to do something. I have studied some files. There are things we can do and mange to still hide from others

M : okay tommorow office we will talk

Adi nodded. Manik and adi had noticed say, manik needed nandini right now to tell him it would be okay. To give him direction, to help him se things clearly. But he had spoiled things, and nandini would now maybe never be his princess again. But that didn't mean he was going to let her walk out so easily, he was going to fight and try. He was going to make her give him and their relationship a second chance

Adi wanted to talk to nandini, now he understood why she was behaving like this and he was going to apologize. Unknowingly he had hurt his sister and wanted to make things right

Adi started going out but then stopped and said something to manik

Ad : you did wrong but it wasn't really your fault. As nadini's brother I am angry but as your friend, I get you. And maybe just this once I am actually going to support you. But then again you and nandini are not on different sides are you. You are just not looking at each other but still standing by each others side

His words brought a little smile to Manik's face and adi knew only nandini could get that smile fully back.

Nandini's room

Nandini had woken up hungover, and her headache was killing her. It was the weekend so atleast she had not been bothered about going to college. Preeti had given her medicine, and had behaved weird. She did apologize, and nandini said sorry too.

Thinking had made nandini realize, she was going to let go of the past. She knew manik, he was the same manik who would be fussing over her if she got a paper cut. How could she even believe that he would hurt her intentionally.

She now felt a little guilty of her actions. She should have been level headed from the beginning. But nandini had been the pampered one, and not getting her wishes had made her behave like this.

She also remmembers a few things from last night, although the memories are a bit hazy. But she heard Manik say something and kiss her forehead, she was sure of that.

Adi came to nandini's room later that day. She was sitting on her bed doing something on the phone. he knocked lightly on her door to catch her attention. Nandini nods at him to come in. They had never been this formal before, but lately things had gotten complicated .

Adi sat at the foot of her bed and spoke lightly, he didn't want to fight

Ad : preeti told me something yesterday

Nandini now understood why preeti had been hinting that she thought she should take matters in her own hands. She remained silent but gestured with her eyes to go on

Ad : let's just say, I have an Idea why Do you hate Manik

Nandini's gasped . She was a little panicked.but she had yesterday only decided she was going to be calm. So calmly she said

N : I don't hate him, just majorly dislike.

Ad : nandini look, I don't want to defend him or anything

N : then don't

Nandini had accepted and forgiven. But that didn't mean they could poke her. She didn't want to hear anything except the truth. Everyone she was close to had been defending his actions to her at some point.

Adi gulped, looking at nandini's cold eyes

Ad : okay ,I wanted to say sorry princess. I should have realized sooner that your anger had good reason and I should have beaten up

N : what. What did you do to Manik

Ad : exactly what a brother should do when a boy hurts his sister. I rearranged his face

N : adi you fought with him. Two minutes back you were going to say he did nothing wrong and now I get to know you have beaten him up. You are his friend, friends are supposed to stand by each other

Adi chuckled suddenly

N : what's funny

Ad : the fact that you both are fighting, but not against,rather for Each other. There he was ready to take the blows because he believes he deserves it. And here you are defending him even when you asked him not to do that just a few minutes back

Nandini was speechless. Yes she was still cold towards Manik, but a part of her trusts him, that he had not hurt her purposely. And an even larger part was devastated at knowing he was hurt physically. Because even though she dislikes him, she loves him too and she has seen he was in no better place then her emotionally

Adi got up and hugged nandini tightly. After a few moments she too wrapped his arms around him. She felt like he would take away her nightmares just like he used to in childhood. How he would make her sleep calmly again as if there was nothing to fear about

N : don't choose adi, I wanted that at first but I don't anymore. I want Manik to have someone by his side. He is alone

Ad : he has his friends. Fab 5

Adi already had decided to stay neutral, but he wanted to hear from nandini why she wanted it. Maybe saying it, she would understand her own words

N : he does. But u also know you are more than that ,you are like family. He will need your support

Ad : And what about you

N : we are in this together remember. Even though I am still to figure out what exactly this is

Nandini had understood, there was a bigger picture here. And Adi's reaction when she spoke confirmed it. Suddenly he was in a hurry to leave

Adi wished her good night and tucked her in bed when she spoke

N : also don't you dare pin this all on Manik, I know you have a equal part in screwing things up

Ad : I am not going to blame him again for what he has not done. And please don't repeat my mistake Princess. Just remember what you once told me, that you would have done the same thing has you been in his place

Kissing her forehead he left the room
