Cafeteria

The whole day had passed by undisturbed. Looks like manik and adi had found friends, who shared character traits. It was like after Manik's return he had decided to ignore everything and not speak.
Their friends were doing the same today. With there own newly created groups, they all acted like the others don't exist.

Nandini found it all childish and curbed the urge to laugh. The rest of the students were acting as audience. And this all felt like some dramatic soap opera.

Nandini was sitting with aryaman, harshad and soha. All of them interested in knowing what had happened. Harshad had apparently gone on a date with soha, weird nandini though. But who was she to question it.

Soha had apologized, this time from the heart and also told nandini to be aware of Maddy. Nandini remmembers how harshad has made soha and her talk, because he said nandini was his friend and he didn't want any awkwardness between her and soha.

Well recently nandini had been in the mood of letting things go, so she heard soha's explanations. Soha told how she was just trying to help her brother. Nandini just tuned out the rest.

She forgave and let her join the friend circle. Unlike others who had clearly choose sides this morning, nandini had not done anything like that. Buymt still she did have a group. And in her group, the person she wishes stays. Princess rules right.

She told them how they fought yesterday and aryaman had various expressions crossing his face. Even after all this his liking towards Ruhi hadn't changed and he was unsure about what he felt about the situation. But he was loyal to nandini, nandini and been a great friend. He was undeniably on nandini's side.

Soha : God it's too much

H : so Ruhi hates you

N : I guess

Ar : she doesn't, she just hasn't had the chance to talk to you. Think about it nandini when have you talked to her one on one. She just thinks that you caused her and adi apart.

Aryaman wasn't defensive, he was just keeping his point of view. Like Harshad had in soha's case. So nandini gave him the benefit of doubt.

N : maybe it's true but I am not going to be the one to start the conversation. I am done trying to do good. With things with Manik and now all of this. I don't know I am tired . But I'd she genuinely says sorry, I'll consider

H : I understand. So you haven't talked to anyone from them. Not even preeti

N : not yet. But I am quite sure they are dating . If you think about this, the whole fight is about me. They are choosing sides to go either with or against me. But still it's their fight. I am not choosing.

Soha : navya published an article in her blog about them dating. So it's official I think

N : and soha please don't tell any of this to Maddy . I have had enough of his plotting and planning.

even though nandini had told madhyam about her life but that didn't mean she was giving him an invitation into the lives of people connected to her. she knew he wasn't a good person but her anger for Manik had made her overlook everything. Even now when everything had fallen apart, the thing that kept giving her strength today was that Manik and her were together. Just not standing side by side right now.

Just on cue, there eyes connected and manik gave her a beautiful smile. She turned her face, but the grin was unmistakable.

Nandini's room

Manik and nandini weren't talking directly but they exchanged messages. Every morning and night, she had Manik wishing her.once they also spoke on the phone, avoiding the elephant in the room .

Right now also nandini was standing in her balcony talking to manik.

M : remmember that game of treasure hunt , when we played in teams.

Theirs parents were always out, so whenever they came they made sure that their children felt loved. Often there was if showing this was taking them on vacation. Right now manik and nandini were reminsing one such memory, when they had gone to the farmhouse, with a few of their cousins.

N : you spoke my name as soon as, bhai told the teams were to be of two . I can still remember adi sulking

M : well he was slow. And then you didn't leave my hand all the time because you were afraid their could be animals

N : adi was the one , who kept saying they were around in the area. And the fact that we were playing in a jungle wasn't helpful either

M : ah ha, and when you started shouting seeing something behind the bushes, I think everyone in 2km radius heard you. And what did we find it to be a dog. Princess you were shouting seeing a small dog, who himself ran away seeing you.

Manik was laughing now, and nandini couldn't help to chuckle along.

N : right and since, everyone had come finding us, the treasure hunt was spoiled.

M : but we had fun

N : you guys had fun, laughing on me

Manik and nandini had serene smiles, these were the times which had brought her, Manik, adi and shivaay so close. They were a family.

N : so Alia your happy childhood memories include me. What about when I was gone. Didn't you and your friends

Nandini bit her tongue, even though talking about her moving to America wasn't a sore spot anymore. Adi and Manik's fight with their friends was.

Manik then continued to tell her about some things they had done, but his voice did have a trace of hurt in it.

Nandini continues along, not wanting to point it out. Later they wish each other good night.

Talking like this was easier then face to face, this almost felt like before everything had happened. But when they were in front of each other Manik not telling the truth always did rounds in her mind.
