"You gathered all of that just by reading the first chapter?" I asked amused.

"You are no reader if can't judge a book by its first chapter. You should be able to build your imagination high enough that you should be able to tell how the story goes from the prologue." He said.

"Oh. Have you ever read this 'Embrace' series by Jessica Shrivington?" I asked.

"I did. And I get your point." He said bowing to me slightly.

"That is one piece of master though. No one would have guessed that it would end up like that after reading the first book, much less the first chapter." He said and I nodded completely agreeing.

"Anyway, have any book in your mind or are you planning to buy whatever that has a good prologue and first chapter?" I asked as we walked through the different sections of the place.

Books ran all around us making me feel so small.

Maanav shrugged.

"I wanted this book. Eleven hours." He said as we reached the thriller section. He picked out the book he just said about and handed it to me.

"So you read thriller a lot?" I asked.

"One of many genres. What about you?"

"I don't exactly have a preference. But I have more books in the romance genre. So let's say that I am a romance fanatic."

And so the conversation flowed as we made ourselves comfortable at a remote corner of the coffee shop nearby. About things. From books to movies. From movies to thoughts. From thoughts to experiences. And from experiences to newfound comfort of being able to talk about anything that came into our minds.

And then he got a call.

"Hello...........WHAT!" He jumped up suddenly throwing his chair back and got up startled.

"I will be there in five minutes......Just... I will be there, just,  make sure he is alright."

He said and started running out of the coffee shop. I ran after him.

"What happened?" I asked concerned, trying to keep up with him.

"Jay......Jay got into an accident. I......I...."

"Let's go in my car. It's faster." I said as he made his way towards his bike parked beside mine.

He looked up at me then as if he could not decide whether to trust me or not. I was momentarily hurt at that moment but shook it off immediately. I am practically a stranger to him and I shouldn't be surprised by his hesitation. It still hurt though. He nodded finally and I tossed my car keys to him and sat on the passenger's side.

Jay wrapped in a pretty complex maze of bandages and a nurse was tending to him. The moment Maanav entered the room the nurse jumped up off her seat and handed over what must have been Jay's phone to Maanav.

I sat down beside Jay's bed as Maanav practically ordered the nurse to bring over every doctor to him and that if Jay didn't wake up in 1 hour he would dismantle the entire hospital by tomorrow. The nurse just rolled her eyes until Maanav revealed his last name and the name of his father.

I never in my life saw more than 50 doctors crowding over one patient.

Maanav led me outside and together we waited in the waiting room. By the way, he glared at every doctor who came running after he summoned them, I guess he wasn't joking about the dismantling part.
