"What in the palm trees is going on? I was kidnapped, cut, trapped, questioned, badgered, saw my sister for the first time in years, and almost killed!!! Explain!" Rain shouted as she paced back and forth. If it wasn't for the situation, I would have started laughing. She looked hilarious. Her usual perfect hair was all frizzy, her shirt was slightly torn, she had bags under her eyes, and she was pacing in back and forth moving her hands like she was casting a spell. Coral looked at me. If she thinks that I'm explaining, then she's going crazy. My mouth stayed locked shut. She rolled her eyes.

"I HAVE A WHAT?" Rain yelled. Well, she took that nicely. Coral basically repeated everything that she told me earlier. Now Rain was eyeballing all the rocks next to her. All self-control left me when she started backing away from a flower, ran into a tree, screamed and ran, and then fell in the river. Honestly, it was the funniest thing I had ever seen. It was pretty funny to see Rain so lost. Usually she's so sure of herself.

"Rain calm down. We have to teach you have to use your element," I reasoned. She was sort of pale. Coral went up behind her and positioned her hands.

"Breath in, breath out. Focus all your energy," Coral whispered. Rain closed her eyes. Come on, come on. Nothing happened. Coral stood confused. I muffled a laugh. It's not my fault that I keep laughing! Its almost midnight and I get this way when I'm tired. Rain's face was slowly turning red of embarrassment.

I wonder how we got our elements...my mind drifted to different things as Coral tried to teach Rain how to use her powers. What seemed like HOURS later, a frustrated sigh escaped from Coral. My thoughts drifted away as I came back to reality. Coral was standing by an exasperated Rain.

"Face the facts, I can't do it! I don't know what happened back there when my powers actually worked, but they obviously won't work now!" She shouted as I played with fire in my hand. The surprising thing is that it doesn't burn me. The colors of the flame could suck me in forever. Coral was now standing by the water making bubbles float in the air. "You both can use your powers and I have nothing!" She was now extremely angry. That's it! Anger!

"Rain! Use your anger!" She stopped and stared at me for a second. I didn't think the idea was that stupid. I was about to say that I was joking, but then she smiled and closed her eyes once more. Come on, come on. Nothing. Now even a small pebble.

"OH MY PALM TREES! WHY CAN'T SOEMTHIGN GO IN MY FAVOR! ONE THING, ONE SMALL ROCK, ONE STUPID VINE, A PILE OF LEAVES. SOMETHING!"

Vines shot out of the ground. Coral whipped her head around, and my jaw fell open. She actually did it! My smile was quickly wiped off when the vines kept growing taller.

"Rain stop it!"

"I don't know how! I'm not doing it anymore!"

I stood paralyzed as the vines swirled around Rain, trapping her. Coral and I both stepped forward. Through the vines we saw Rain raise her hands. Fire shot out of my hands towards the vine, water squished its ways between the vines to spread them apart, jagged rocks hit the vines to try and cut them. All the efforts didn't matter. The vines disappeared. Coral and Rain yelped out in pain. The flame that once danced in my palm shot back and burned me. A loud shriek escaped my mouth. A burst of light shot and Coral, Rain, and I were blown off our feet. My head hit something hard. Coral was thrown into the river, and Rain hit the ground hard.

"Coral why you swim with de fishies," I muttered as darkness pulled me in. The last thing I felt was the stickiness of blood.

Orange flames licked at the ground as they closed in around me. Gunshots could me heard all around. "Ashwey! Ashwey!" Only one person called me that, Misty. I spun around. Darkness surrounded me, Misty was no where to be seen. Suddenly, I wasn't in the fire. Misty sat on the ground. Tears spilled out of her beautiful eyes. "Ashwey!" Scream full of pain echoed in the darkness. The flames were getting closer and closer. I ran through the fire and grabbed Misty. Her small arms wrapped around my body.

"Misty, I miss you so, so much. I love you," I cried out.

"Ashwey, I wuv you to," she whispered. Her voice so small and weak. I ran my hand through her soft hair. She was my beautiful baby sister. Another gun shot sounded. I reached my hand behind Misty to pull her closer. The only thing my hand touched was sticky red blood.

"M-Misty?" I pulled back. She started choking on blood. A chuckle rose up behind her. A dark figure stood. He ran out through the fire. Flames leaped up and rushed towards us. "Misty I'll save you! Stay with me!" I cried out. It was too late, she was already dead. Her body caught on fire. I sat with my knees up to my chest. The fired right next to me. It slowly caught onto my clothes. The burning was enough to sting, but not enough to truly burn me. The different colors were truly enchanting. I reached out my hand to feel the purple. It's so warm. If I could just stay... ASHLEY!!! ASHLEY!!! The fire extinguished and the darkness turned to Coral and Rain.

"What happened?" I questioned.

"Oh thank the palm trees! We didn't think you were ever going to wake up. There's blood all on the tree that you hit, but I don't see any injuries. I'll call it luck," Rain sobbed.

"I don't know what just happened, but look at this," Coral said s she helped me stand up. We all walked over to where Rain was standing when she first used the vines. Coral was fine, but Rain had a small limp.

"Oh wow," I gasped. Laying in the dirt was a burned letter. Most of the words were hard to read, but at the bottom clearly signed was A. P. C. Angus Penki Caroban.

"It's our dads' signature."

So what did ya think?

I don't really know what to say...

Anyway, do y'all have any book recommendations? I finished reading Adam today and the Shadow by kookiemoster3 and NeverlandsKey

I was thinking of reading The Color of Music next by NoahWillow   but it only has 46 parts, so I'll finish it in a day or two.

Its time to go book hunting again.

Anywayyyy looks like we got our first clue on this long search. *Rubs hands together mischievously*

Looks like Ash didn't tell her sisters about what happened while she was out cold. Hmmm I wonder why... I know why, but hmmmm you wonder why. Lol
