Travis POV

After Clair and I finished talking I got a phone call from an unknown number

"Hello?" I asked

"Meet me at the park at noon tomorrow if you want answers " said the unknown person

"Who are you?"

"Somebody that has answers to your questions, but you have to meet me alone and you can't certainly tell anyone about this conversation"

"Why not? How can I trust you?"

"You can't at least not know, but know that I am risking my life just by talking to you"

"What if I decided not to go?"

"Than that's your lose, not mine you are the one that has everything at stake here. Not me"

Alright I would meet you there" I told him, he than hung up the phone

You are probably thinking that I am the stupidest person ever for agreeing to this, but I don't really have a choice not when my family is in danger

The next day

"Hey Clair something came up at work and I have to leave, but I would see you soon"

"Okay, but text me if you going to be late again"

"Okay, I love you "

"Love you too" she said

I got into my car and when to the park not knowing what to look for so I just sat in a random chair

A couple of minutes later I saw someone approaching me and sat at the opposite side of me

"I'm glad you came" the person said who I still couldn't see his face but at this point I at least knew it was a guy

"I''m here, so start talking" I told him because I was getting a weird feeling and I just wanted to get out there as soon as possible

"You doesn't know who I am, but I do. I have been watching you for a while now, and I have come to the conclusion that is time for you to know what happen between you and Lissa."

That wasn't creepy at all I thought

"I met this guy a couple of years ago who told me I could get rich if I just did him one big favor, but you got to understand that I really needed the money. My wife was sick and I needed the money to buy her medicines. I didn't know what I was getting at, until it was too late for me to get out of there..."

BOOM...BOOM

Those are gunshots I thought to myself before everything went black

Clair POV

"Hello, who is this?" I answered

"Is this Clair speaking?"

"Yes I am who wants to know?" I asked

"My name is Doctor Liam Blake from the Saint Charles Hospital and I am sorry to inform you that your husband had been shot"

"What? That can't be right I just talked to him a couple of minutes ago" I said in shock

"Please come to the hospital, we can talk there"

I didn't know what to do, so I call Lissa to see if she could babysit Tyler since Tyler has been wanting to see her

A couple of minutes later, but it felt like forever she finally got here

I told her what happened and she was just as shocked as me

But I quickly left

As soon as I got to the hospital I when to the front to ask for new updates on his condition but there were none at the time

So I just sat there in the waiting room, praying to God to save him

I couldn't lose him not now... not ever I thought

I was completely bawling at this point but I didn't care I just wanted answers but nobody would give me that

Finally a doctor came up to me

"How is he??"

"It appears that your husband was shot in the chest"

I completely lost it at that point

"But that's not all he also suffer from a head trauma, we don't know if there is any consequences, we won't know until he wakes up" he told me

"Can I go see him?"

"As soon as he is transferred into his room I would send somebody to get you"

"Ok"

I was happy to know that he was going to make it but I was also afraid of the unknown

When I was finally able to see him, it broke my heart seeing him like this, all beat up and cover by tubes, but at least this was better than the alternative

"Hey Travis, I don't know if you can hear me but you got to wake up I need you... Tyler needs you. I don't know how to do this without you, I cannot do it alone. This baby is going to need a father and I refused to acknowledge that you might not be there to meet him or her!!! So please for the love of God, wake up baby!!! Pleased don't do this to me!!"

I just sat there crying and crying for what felt like hours until I saw his hand move

"Travis???"

"Can you hear me?""

I saw that he was trying to open his eyes

"Don't worry, I am just going to get the doctor" I told him excited

"Doc!! Travis is awake can you believe it!!"

"Well let's go see him" he told me

By this point Travis had waken up fully

"Hey Travis do you know what happen to you?" The doctor asked him

"No... should I?" He said almost afraid

"It's okay after suffering a head trauma is common for the patient to lose their memory temporarily"

"Ok. I just have one quick question, who is she?" He said looking up at me

"You don't know who I am" I asked him

"No... I am sorry"

"I am your wife"

"My wife!!! That can't right, my wife name is Lissa" he said
