Brother, are you there?
Won't you answer me?
Speak up, if you dare,
Since we used to be
Best of friends till we
Entered troubled days.
Now you aren't you.
Mom, she battles, prays.
Dad, he suffers too.
Are you traumatized
Or just overcome
By the lows and highs
Of the place you're from?
Brother, don't succumb
To your private war.
What has made you numb?
Brother, see the door?
Won't you take my hand?
Follow me outside.
Brother, understand
Nothing that you hide
Keeps me from your side.
You don't have to talk.
I won't press or chide.
Come, we'll only walk.
