Loki was impressed. He knew there was a way to enter alternate universes but to move an entire planet into one was incredible. Loki noticed how you sat beside your mother awkwardly and seemed to be growing bored.

"So Loki," Jin said, snapping Loki out of his thoughts. "You said you would like to train in, I'm guessing, multiple ways of fighting. I'd invite you to learn about our style of fighting but I don't think you have the genetic mutation that gives us our powers."

"Powers?" Loki asked. A loud rumbling then enacted behind Loki, he looked behind to see that a sparring platform opened up, revealing a pool of water in one corner and a mound of rock in another. Jin snapped her fingers and you sprang into action, flipping onto the sparring platform with a boost of air and landing onto the mound of rock.

"Remember your breathing techniques!" Tashi yelled, having joined Jin's side earlier. You breathed in steadily and went into action. You released a burst of fire as you breathed out sharply. You began to demonstrate your techniques, breathing steadily the entire time. First, was fire. You punched swiftly, releasing bursts of hot fire, kicking up and bringing it down quickly to create a line of fire.

"Sloppy!" Tashi yelled. But to Loki, he was completely mesmerised. You looked perfect. You grit your teeth and calmed yourself, moving onto water. The water behind you moved as you began to lift it up slowly through a flowing movement and form it by crouching down and moving your arms and legs in a pattern. The water changed shapes and when you stood up you went rigid and the water froze. You let out an exhale and the ice turned into water back again, continuing your flowing form as you moved the water back into the pool.

You then shot up in the air with a squatting jump. Loki trailed his eyes down to see that you boosted yourself from the earth, a pillar replacing where you stood. Tashi yelled something and Loki saw a large boulder being slid towards you at an incredibly high speed. You took a stable stance and placed two palms out, stopping the boulder in its tracks. You drew back and punched it, the boulder crumbling into pebbles. The pebbles flew everywhere and Loki had to raise his arm to block the ones flying towards him.

They bounced off of him and he blinked a few times before looking up to you with a revealing blush. Oh no. He really was going to fall for you.

After the demonstration, Tashi took Loki under her wing to at least teach him combat techniques.

"I can technically control the elements, through magic," Loki said one day, frustrated over the fact that Tashi refused to teach him the elemental combat techniques.

"Your magic is limited and is going to drain you. You'll end up hurting yourself before you get to create your first boulder from just a stomp," Tashi explained. She tapped her foot and a large boulder then pushed up immediately. Loki sighed in frustration and heard laughter in the air. He looked up to see you and Wen messing around on gliders and having fun. For someone your age, you did act quite childish. Loki couldn't help but smile a little as he heard your laughter. Tashi huffed in annoyance and brought her hand down swiftly, dragging you and Wen down to the ground with a thud.

"Ow! Tashi, really?" you groaned in pain.

"Yes! Stop messing around, you're so childish. You're a grown man and all you do is mess around and play games like you're 12 again."

"Well, there's nothing else to really be doing right now," you grumble and Tashi shot a rock at you. You flinched as it hit your arm and rubbed it before glaring at her.

"You're going to become emperor someday, (y/n), don't forget that," Tashi said, "You need to grow up."

"Perhaps, I could help with how to become an adult?" Loki chimed in. You and Tashi both turned your heads toward him and Tashi burst out laughing.

"You don't know anything about our etiquette nor how the royal family behaves," Tashi smirked. Loki frowned and felt discouraged, his face growing blue with embarrassment. Well, that was one failed way of trying to get close to you.

"I appreciate the offer, Loki" you say to him. You can't help but have pink dust your cheeks and Loki can't help but smile again. You cleared your throat and walked off after that, feeling awkward with what happened.

Loki walked on the veranda, hoping to find your room. Was this the best time to tell you though? He'd been dealing with these feelings for the past few weeks and he wanted you to at least know about it and possibly reciprocate it, maybe even take you along and out of this pocket universe to explore with him. It was a couple hours after dinner, the crickets were chirping and the moon shone on a nearby pond. He saw a few fireflies shimmer in and out every now and then. It was a peaceful yard, something Loki hadn't experienced for a while. For a powerful family, there was very little security measures to keep people from breaking into your room. Loki noticed the familiar emblem that only you carried and went to knock on the glass sliding door before a spray of ice froze his feet. He looked behind him to see a pair of tiger like eyes boring into him from the pond. His face pales as the beast like figure emerges from the pond behind him, using his magic to create a dagger. He held it behind his wrist and took a deep breath, yelping as it lunges towards him, only to have you step swiftly in front of him and place an open palm out towards the beast. The beast trills, its gills fluttering as it leaned into your touch.

"Now, now, this man is not food, Sha," you scolded. "At least you didn't use your tongue to catch him..." Sha trilled again and nuzzled you before turning around and slipping back into the pond. You turned around to see a confused Loki.

"I'm sorry to ask, but. What is that?" Loki asked, the dagger shimmering away. You chuckled as you melted the ice that was frozen at his feet.

"That's Sha, he guards my sibling and I, mainly me," you explained. "He's a water 'demon'," you used air quotes as you said that. "He's really a guardian lion, I was given him when he was just a cub and now he's been our guardian ever since. My mom has one too, but she's a lot scarier and... bigger."

"He doesn't really look like... a lion," Loki commented. "More like... a tiger mixed with a fish." You can't help but laugh.

"That's what I said when I first got him," you chuckled. "But he's a really nice guardian and does a good job, so I can't really make fun of him. You'd really be surprised when you find out he has water buffalo feet." Sha sprayed some water at you in response and you were startled before looking back and seeing Sha rolling around in the water all innocently. You flicked the water off after gathering it in a puddle. Loki chuckled softly before looking at you. "So why were you creeping around my room anyway?" you smirked, crossing your arms and leaning back onto the glass sliding door.

"Well, erm, I was wondering if you wanted to go on... a walk?" The smirk that was on your face was replaced with a look of surprise and you were at a loss for words. You thought about it for a moment and listened to the crickets chirping. After a moment of contemplating you nodded.

"I'd love to."

Loki nodded and then lost his confidence for a slight moment, realising that he never really left the palace by himself to really know where to go or where a nice private location to take a stroll would be. You couldn't help but notice and smile. You grabbed his hand and began to lead him off of the veranda and onto a stone path, passing the pond and opening a small wooden gate that was hidden in the fence.

"You haven't really seen most of this city yet, but I want to show you a place that I've managed to keep a secret from the others. People aren't allowed to enter behind the palace so I've been able to... make this my safe haven I guess," you whispered. Loki didn't reply, he was panicking over the fact you grabbed his hand so swiftly and held it so tightly as you led him through the gate.

The two of you entered a bamboo forest, the moonlight filtering through it as you led Loki through the path and stopped once the sound of running water filled your ears. You let go and turned around to face Loki, spreading your arms out in a 'tada!' way. Loki looked around in awe as he saw the moonlight reflecting on the water as if it were a mirror. In the distance were a set of waterfalls that blue lights seemed to be dancing around. Loki heard the sound of rustling and looked to see you climbing an old, tall cherry blossom tree.

"You gonna follow or what?" you smiled. You held your hand out and Loki gladly took it. Perhaps it was the perfect time to tell you after all.
