You promised to always be there...

But now...
Where are You?
I waited.
I counted the seconds...
I numbered my sheep...
I fought of sleep...
Praying and wishing...
Till all I had left was me crying...
And still, you didn't come back to me.
I've pondered.
Looked through our past...
I'm sure I was wrong to absent myself...
To just... blank off...
Explain...
This ache in my chest...
Is this what you felt?
Is this you paying me back?
I miss you.
But I agree I've lost you.
There's no point fighting it.
Holding on to it... whatever "it" is.
The old feeling is gone...
Replaced by a chasm of want.
It'll never be filled.
After all, who can replace you?
Remember our talks?
Till late at night...
Never a dull topic between us.
But now,
I have no one to talk to.
I reach fir my phone to call you...
Then I remember...
I've lost you.
I miss you my friend...
You were a true companion for me...
A balm for my lonely heart.
And dare I say, I love you?
Tis sad...
Tis fate...
I know...
We were doomed to end this way...
I hope you happy.
Hope you have new friends.
Hope you enjoy your life.
I bear you no grudge...
No ill will...
I wish you only the best.
