"Write about having wings and what you would do."

______________________________

If I had the wings of a butterfly,

I would flit from flower to flower,

step into the pollen and gather honey,

or just float showing of my gaudy colour.

Or with the wings of an eagle,

Above the earth, I could fly so high;

Soar above the clouds, rise with the wind,

I could almost appear to touch the sky.

I wouldn't mind the wings of a bee,

I could simply go buzzing by;

Sipping honey and saving it up,

Storing it in the hive near by.

Even the wings of a dragon fly would do,

Transparent flimsy and coloured gauze;

Enough for me to fly around so free,

Or just roam in the air without a cause.

Oh for a pair of wings,

big or small, any would do;

I wonder how it would feel,

just to fly for moments few
