Now, so am I

There's no emotion or love in his voice the sound of his words to me like I mean nothing to him. And it fucken hurts.

"He's not the one you want" I grit my teeth as I change my stance and raise my head. Do I really need to remind him?

"He won't kill him" Jason says glaring at me

How does he know? How can he not see.. not feel the shift within him? it's dark. Darker than normal.

I glance at Jason who hasn't moved from his alphas side watching me cautiously, the only time his loyalty to his alpha strikes a nerve with me.

Liam suddenly appears as he and Jason move. passing me slowly stepping forward pushing my brother back with teeth barred matching my own. it's 2 to 1 now. I turn from Ethan as I watch them making sure no one is going for the strike and my heart begins to settle.

I look back to my so called mate the one who said he would never hurt me. I believed him.

But he did. He has.

His eyes black as night. He's on edge and I don't completely understand why.

He's fuming.

"Mike" I tell him hoping his anger was just misdirected

His eyes move to the crowd and raises his nose to the air

But he doesn't move as his eyes bounce around looking everywhere but me.

His behaviour is confusing me. There's something in his eyes I don't quite understand. Almost as if he's searching for something but he doesn't know what.

I catch a glimpse of mike through the crowd as the sickening growls haven't stopped from the circle near us wondering why the hell Ethan hasn't joined it yet.

I pay him no more attention trying to calm myself. my anger towards him edging on hate, as I find myself stepping through the crowd nose to air as I make sure it's only fallen moon and horizon dawn scents around me.

The first thing I notice is the blood lots of it. And that it's all over mike, the second thing is how large alpha deans is to the point he has me mentally comparing him to Ethan. Not good

Both Alpha deans and Haynes have mike in bad shape and cornered. His energy is fading quickly.

Also not good.

Somethings wrong. I feel it.

I just can't put my finger on what it is.

"Mike needs you now!" I stress

My attention gets taking by a nudge from the side his scent is horizon dawn and his eyes tell me it's Carson

He's also a little worse for wear but not like mike.

The growl is heard by everyone. The building rocks and the earth shakes, it still sends shivers down my spine as Ethan comes landing into the circle paws spread teeth barred as though he just fell from the sky.

The black aura that surrounds him radiating off him is powerful like its sucking the life out of those around him only fueling him more.

His appearance doesn't seem to surprise alpha deans as he takes a step away from mike clearly assessing Ethan for the first time.

I watch mike as he pulls himself to stand back up all four legs locking In place raising his head eyes on my alpha. If I didn't know any better I would swear he just smiled.

Alpha deans glances at Haynes before snapping back to Ethan. Haynes steps towards mike almost unwillingly, growling lowly. His size doesn't compare to the alphas around him.

Jason was right, deans could take Haynes hands down.

Deans and Ethan start to mirror each other circling like sharks do their prey but this time they are both the predator. Both equal in size and both hesitating with caution.

I'm confused about his hesitation there's something worrying him. Something seems off. The anger is visible throughout him he looks deadly, dangerous as I see the fear in all the ones around us.

But I know him better.

Jason comes into my line of vision standing with James eyes on the alphas in the middle

"Do you feel that?"

I lock eyes with Jason and nod my head somethings wrong.

"What is it?" I ask

I watch his eyes as he looks around than slowly his eyes fix on something i follow his gaze as it's not something it's someone.

My eyes gravitate to alpha deans as I feel something building. the only difference between them is their eyes and the slight silver shimmer from Ethan's fur coat.

Before my heart stops

Shock crosses everyone. Standing frozen. eyes wide at the sight before us.

The black soulless eyes, the aura increasing the pressure of it mixed has everyone taking steps back. Including myself.

It's death. it's dark. It's just as haunting as the first time I saw it. I'm familiar with them but these eyes are different.

All attention thrown on alpha deans as he now mirrors not only Ethan's stance...

but his eyes too.
