Chapter 31: Talk

I sigh.

"After that horrible scenario with Vince - I mean it. Until Matt came, I loved him. I love him. Especially now that we're having a baby. Akala ko rin kasi mapaninindigan ko 'yung thought na hindi ako bubuo ng sarili kong pamilya, pero hindi eh. But the point is, I love you. You're the best, Jac. You've been by my side since maturity hits us. Ikaw ang sumasalo sa akin, sa amin sa mga panahong hulog na hulog na kami."

I smiled at him and again, placing my hands on his face, "Jac, I told you that I like you the day you confessed to me before you left the country, and you know my reason... my stupid, foolish reason, that Vincent the bastard."

Napailing ako nang maalala ko ang pag-uusap namin ni Jac noon. I chose that jerk over him - Biggest mistake.

"Saka, alam mo na, mukhang pareho tayo ng gusto. I really thought I couldn't get you by flirting and teasing kaya sa bandang huli ay hindi ko na sineryoso. Inisip ko na lang na dapat ay mas maging thankful ako kasi nandiyan ka, na lagi kitang kasama."

I compose myself and look vigorously to him, "I told you not to brag about this ever again. I told you to act as if your confession never happen but you still did. Kainis ka!" I hit his chest and he laugh softly.

"I was afraid of losing you for real back then. Isa pa, busy rin ako sa pambabakod sa mga manliligaw mo - niyo! Hihi," he replied and I glare at him but then smile afterwards.

"Lahat kayo, kaya pumayag ako sa gusto mo. And I am totally hurt too kaya... umalis din ako agad."

"What the...."

He left because....

"Because of me? That's no fair! You should have told me para hindi mo sinolo ang sakit. Eh, 'di sana, natauhan din ako at iniwan ko agad ang lalaking 'yon nang hindi niya ako nagawa pang saktan. You're fluttering me by letting me know how much you've cared for me, you know."

We just laughed before he pull me for a hug.

"Crazy," he said.

"I'm sorry," I whispered.

I feel him tighten his hug and so I did.

"Don't be, I'll be fine. I am the one who should be sorry. Matt, surely, I upset him."

I move to face him, "Jac, seriously, I am really sorry. Sadyang hindi lang talaga tayo ang itinadhana. Isa pa, I am certain that there's this woman that will probably love a man like you back."

He chuckles, "Until she knew my hilarious past? I don't think so, and I'm gay."

"Jac?! You are perfect, okay?! Don't underestimate your self. Malay mo naman, nasa paligid lang siya, matagal mo nang kakulitan, matagal mo nang kakilala, nakakausap, nakakatabi, nakakaasaran, nakakainisan yet lagi mong kasama sa kama-"

"Wait, is it me or you really are referring to Diane?

Whew! I am, hihi.

"What? I am just defining the possibilities. Wait a minute, ikaw ah, si Diane pala ah," pang-aasar ko sa kaniya nang parang wala akong kinalaman.

"Where did that came from? She's also a great bestfriend of mine, you crazy."

Tinawanan ko lang ang reaction niya before I decided to sit on the stool beside him. Well, he's right. They're good friends since the very beginning. Sila ang unang nagkakilala when we were in College, and I don't think they'll be on that kind of stage. Yes, they do fit together pero may kaniya-kaniya silang gusto, pero malay rin naman ulit natin, 'di ba? Hahahahaha! Ewan ko ba. Kahit silang dalawa kasi ay nagsisikretuhan pa lalo na pagdating sa mga minamahal. Tsk, tsk. Para pang aso't pusa 'pag nagkasabay ang period, but seriously, there is something.

"Why are you smiling?" he asked.

"Me? Smiling? Oh, I'm just happy that we're good, aren't we?"

"Yes, we are, but your smile, it's more like it's teasing me," he said at umarte naman ako.

"Huh? Don't tell me, you want to kiss me?" gulat na tanong ko.

What's up with my smile ba? Hahaha!

"Baliw! Mapang-asar ka kayang nakangiti ngayon. Parang may kakuwentuhan ka sa utak mo at sabay na bina-backstab niyo 'ko."

Seriously? Hahahahaha!

"Walaaaa. Let's go upstairs na." I pulled him up and wrapped my arms on his arm as we silently walk upstairs.

There is really something. We'll see about that.

"I'm giving you my permission to rape that drunk woman," I said when we reach their room.

I saw how his eyes widened to what I have said and that was epic. His reaction was priceless.

"I know how hard to see a person who's almost naked especially when you both are canned, so, good luck!" I then pushed him inside.

"You're insane, Martina!" he said firmly as I closed the door for them.

Evil I am. Bwahahahaha!
