Matthew's POV

“Oh, good day Mr. Mondragon. Wow, you really are handsome just like your father. It's been ten years since the last time I saw you. Remember, the silver anniversary of MF Suites?” Miss Natasha greets me and I kiss her cheek.

“Oh, yeah. It is also the day that the hotel's name had been change to M&I Suites, right?”

“You have such a good memory, Mr. Matthew Mondragon and you've grown up handsome like your father.”

“Hindi naman po, mas gwapo pa ako sa kaniya,” I kid and we both laugh.

“Ikaw talaga, you're still the same persistent youth I've met. By the way, I'll take you to the place.”

Lunch meeting and nothing important to discuss with Tito Martin. Just to get to know each other. Pambakla pero oo, mukhang may date kami ni Mr. Fortalejo. As what I've said, gusto kasi yata nila ni dad na kaming mga anak nila ang mag-manage ng lahat ng business na inumpisahan nila.

“It's noon yet Tito Martin isn't here,” I said.

“Have not your secretary told you?”

My eyebrows furrowed, “Told me what?”

“You'll be seeing one of his daughters. Busy kasi si Mr. Fortalejo at hindi na kinaya pa ng schedule niyang makapunta.”

“Oh, then, where is she?” I asked.

“Yeah, where is...,” she look around, “Iris! Excuse me,” she called the woman.

“Where's your sister? Mr. Mondragon is waiting.”

“What the — I bet, she's still on bed,” I heard that Iris said.

“Pasaway talaga 'yung babaeng 'yon,” the other woman said as she brought her phone out.

“Can you please wake her up? Magagalit ang daddy niyo if he knew,” Miss Natasha said.

“Just a sec,” the three woman left.

“I'm sorry Mr. Mondragon. Don't worry, she'll be here soon. Here, have some appetizer,” she offered food which has arrive.

“It's fine, I understand, and thank you. I'll just wait for her,” I smiled.

“Are you sure?” I nod.

“Don't worry about me.”

“I'll be back to introduce her, soon,” Miss Natasha left and I sighed.

“Saan naman kaya pumunta si Martina?” I utters as I watch the nature.

It's actually refreshing. One day, I will bring Martina here. That's if I'll be able to see her again. But I am certain, I will.

It sounded familiar yet impossible, still, I turn around to see.

Nakatalikod siya, “Excuse me—” I said.

“Sabay-sabay na tayo!” Sigaw niya. Hindi niya ako pinansin at tumakbo paalis.

“Tss! Just forget about Martina, Matthew. Mukhang may balak 'yung tatay mong ipakasal ka sa iba,” I told to myself.

Argh! I miss her already!
