I was given the opportunity to take a step back
Take a deep breath
And allow the world to absorb me.
Just for a moment
For a few mere hours
Where I became my old self again.
Waves of peace envelop me
And my lungs expand
New oxygen to flow through my veins.
I hold on to this moment
It will dissipate and second now.
Nestled in the grass
A wisp caresses my cheek
And I feel free.
