Dear Child

Dear Child,

A baby was growing,

Without you knowing.

But as a bump began to show,

That is when you did know.

You were teased about this though,

And buried yourself in sorrow.

Time did pass and things got worse,

No one could lift their terrible curse.

The baby was too soon lost,

You didn't want that everlasting cost.

You couldn't bear this godawful tool,

So you decided to take a leisurely stroll.

It only took a quick look,

A thought that makes my body shook.

Now I know that you're at peace,

That is of course,

to say the least.
