33| Never Be Okay

what happens if the heroes fall,

if the stars flicker out?

what happens if the night won't set,

and we're lost to our doubts?

what happens if our dreams all die,

if forever grows too old?

what happens if I lose my mind,

a rose left out to mold?

what happens if I let you down,

will I always be alone?

don't tell me that I think too loud,

to the darkness I am prone.

what happens if I never speak,

these voices in my head?

I think I might fade away forever,

in the things I never said.

what happens if our heroes fall,

if the villains win the day?

the night in my mind refuses to set,

father, will I ever be okay?
